let's go through the facts one by one...
1. there isn't a mention of Naruto anywhere in the file name.
2. there is a mention of a popular anime in the file name.
Therefore, the file must belong to the mentioned anime: Hikaru no go. meaning that this thread is out of place here...
moving on.
3. it says 2004 new year special.
therefore, it seems that this is a special which is connected to new years eve...
my guess is that it's like 'Love Hina's x-mas special, which has nothing to do with the real plot (since the story ended already).
all this was said without knowing shit about the file, and without even watching one episode of Hikaru no Go.

It is about the board game, but it is not stupid. It is awesome. I have seen it. It is a Hikaru No Go special. It has nothing to do with New Years though. It just came out right around new years.
