Van Helsing

Well... it was pretty good, compared to somethings... a historical representation on anything it was not.

If you have ever read anything about van helsing, dracula, Mr. Hyde, viktor frankenstien, igor, or physics, and expect this movie to follow the subtle rules they laid, forget about it. The movie was good on its own, but it was far more funny than they ever made it out to be.

They actually established a really interesting background for Van Helsing, but failed to follow thru at the end, which was a bit of a dissapointment, and you think if they just took out a couple more jokes, they coulda wrapped his character up a bit more (time wasn't really a restraint on that in this 2 hour 20 minute movie.

Another thing it lacked, other than a great end to the the end fight, was believable brides. They were really just whiny bitches with bad accents and horrible costumes... they were cheesy to say the least.

But to make up for them were the werewolfs... and they were nice. Really nice.


So, in short, this is a good movie, but not a great one. Great for just watching an hanging out... but don't miss anything important to see it. A definate rent if you miss this in theaters.

I thought it was pretty good as well...

kept my interests for the most part (except for a couple yawns here or there).

all the accents were pretty horrible. That kate whatshername's especially. I dunno..just didn't sound very believable. And that whole looking down from heaven thing is a bit cheesy as well.. bleh

hm..definitely worth the 6 bucks I didn't pay to see it. (heh..i never seem to pay for movies anymore)...but i prolly wouldn't pay money to see it again.

Everyone I know who's seen it says it's all special effects and a crappy plot. I mean, some people don't mind that, just be warned.

I haven't seen it, but just seeing the preview felt like a waste of time. The movie looks terrible.

well... its one of those movies that it takes an IQ higher than your shoesize to fully "get"...

btw, I'm talking about eternal sunshine, not Van Helsing.

I paid 8 dollars for the ticket, and got the annoying teenage girls free. I digress.

I love movies with little to no plot, dont you?

Expect special effects, more special effects, and Kate Beckinsale (yum!). Hugh Jackmans cool too, but he doesnt have a vagina now, does he?

Wait for the DVD.

well all i can say about this movie is dont waste your money. Why you ask?? Well here is why:

1. Bad story
2. Bad acting
3. TOOO MUCH CG
4. Bad acting
5. Way too long for a stupid movie

The movie sucked the action was crap. I have never seen more people thrown around and less fighting in a movie. There is even one part in the were the brides argue with Dracula and all he does is scream at them and they scream back and cower away.

I have not seen it and don't plan to. A friend of mine saw it and he said it was one of the worst movies he had seen, I believe him. I am sick of movies being loaded with CG and lacking a plot.

I know. She was my favorite part of the movie. She makes Underworld an F, as opposed to a Zero. Isn't like her to do the action films, though.

This is a movie I dont think too many people were surprised at the letdown they felt when they were done watching. I'll watch the DVD, but thats as far as it goes.

this movie needed more colour, i was really bored and wanted to sleep. the best part was when the girl was running and her breasts juggled. but thats all.
