-The mega demon was destroyed...the chapter declared a "turning point..."...and the Osakan guy got bored and left, and it turned into a bunch of things.
I'm sure I have half the order out of place, because it's so stupid and pointless with this one alien that no one cares anymore. "Turning Points" in the battle have become meaningless, and the story isn't going anywhere. There's absolutely zero indication that this is the "end" anymore than the last thirty times the battle was "over."
I'll check back in three months. This is worse than Guts & Co. trying to get to an island for the last two years. At least there's plot in between there.
You're paying attention to the action. The monster revealing part of the theme is an obvious indication into the next arc. Putting that question into Kato's head will most definitely lead him into thinking about it in the next arc. This arc has just shown its drawn-out purpose, which is to lead into the next arc. I don't think the mangaka did a good job of it, but thats what it is.
Not trying to act like an idiot or anything but wasn't the purpose of every arc just to lead into the next arc. I mean what was the point of that guy's brother, forgot what his name was, being introduced as a vamp just for both him and his brother to be killed. Speaking of the vamps where are they? Were they all killed too, I can't seem to remember and I'm certainly not going to go back and check.

But this has happened before with Kuruno. When he was all alone after everyone died at the temple, fighting the alien that invaded the school, that alien said similar things about why the Gantz crew fights aliens towards the beginning of that arc.
I won't disagree with you that these lines will connect the next arc, but with the way this arc has been going, making a claim that the arc will finally end just because they finally added in a little plot is a bet I would not take.
