well not only that, but think about security... I'm suprised those guys don't have pointy metal objects sticking out of them already....
AND what the hell is he doing with the sharingan on? Doesn't that eat chakra?

There's only two Uchiha's,the older one being the strongest Uchiha to live,or the greatest sucessor(depends on how you look at it). That's why in the flashbacks you see Sasuke always bothering him to teach him how to throw shrunkens like him, because he's a natural. So I assume he has more than enough chakra,or it just doesn't even use chakra in that form..Even if this question was in the Open Discussion forum,it would still be impossible to give a straight answer for that question.Originally posted by: Konoha Rek

ooh man don't answer a question if it spoils the anime.. i am getting sick of this. anyway i don't wanna start an argument. also i am pretty sure that we have not seen any flash backs of sasuke asking itachi to teach him about shurikens......Originally posted by: Legendary Nin

my answer is, just wait.
hmm i really wanna know who that purple haired ANBU is and what her relationship with hayate is!?! and why is he so important, like why do they keep mentioning him?? i know he is cool and all but i just understand that part.
also, thsoe funeral outfits that they wear are very very sick and look cool. naruto looks like a way cooler ninja with it on lol. also i noticed that those people who attacked with teh dogs were kiba's parents and were Male and Female. cuz if you notice everyone was standing in rows of male, female, male, female etc. and kiba's parent that looked like a girl and had the wolf with a patch on it eye was in the male row.. soo yeh.
also, did anyone else notice that when jiraiya had his flashback there was seriously somethign wrong with his face... like they drew his mouth really poorly. off alignment.. maybe they tried to make it look all swollen but they didn't do it properly.
man some serious stuff is gonna start between kabuto and kakashi i can just feel it lol.. i reallly hope that they fight.
which episode was that i don't remember seeing it can you tell me thanks.Originally posted by: Legendary Nin

well.... that is why i got angry... cuz it is not in the anime yet.
This has got nothing to do with itachi, but did you guys realise the video quality of the ANBU-AonE ep was exceptional?, especially considering the file was only 146MB or something.
EDIT: Wow i just realised i became a genin. yay.
hmm yeh it was great, except the part when naruto and gaara were comparing/thinking of their pasts and the thoughts had a black background, it seemed kinda blocky too me.. but yeh for 146MB it was great!!
man this ep was awesome.
Episode 80 was awesome. a very adequate tie up of the failed exam tourny. Hey that's right, do the rehold it? does everyone fail/pass? i'll be interested to see how that's handled. btw, can anyone help me with changing my avatar to something else, preferably naruto related, i'm not sure how to.
i think they show naruto standing among an angry crowd way too often though.....its starting to lose the emotional effect

Another great episode! But isnt every episode great?
True. I noticed nobody complained about flashback, and I believe it's because the episode was very emotional and well structured.Originally posted by: AssertnFailure

But, I if they only talked about Naruto's past, even though it might have been boring, it wouldn't use the angry crowd, which after 80 episodes has truly become a cliche.
As somebody called it, they should find new ways to show Naruto's self-assesment no jutsu.
I think in the fight against Neji we didn't see Naruto's crowd, there was a lot of the Hyuuga crowd to be seen. But really there must be other ways to show Naruto particular drama. Considering that there's the strong possibility of Naruto meeting again Haku/Neji/Gaara-like evil or mildly evil charecters, they really should start finding better ways to deal wit Naruto's flashbacks.
And, overall in this arc, I still think that the Oro x Sandaime thing was too long. Ok it's important, but why not start writing this fight around the what truly makes a shinobi and *then* add the jutsus and all?
If that was the moral of the story, that must have been the center of the fight, not the fight itself. I think it too to long to get to that, and maybe it got a bit lost in the end.
Anyway, just the way I see it.
I'd rather have a bit less of Oro's fight and more of Leaf Nins fight, as well as Jiraiya's flashback.
I think it was alright to have the flashback with Naruto in this case cause they were comparing him to Gaara and his hard past. I think the transition from one to another was really cool.
Yeah, I think they stretched out the Oro-3rd fight for way too long. I like how they changed the colouring on Naruto for the funeral: the navy blue eyes and the toned down hair colour; it was really suiting (crap, Jane Eyre writing is getting to me...stupid english class) It kinda makes me wonder what Naruto would have been like as 'normal', and without a joker shell.
Gah...certain person's voice at the end of the episode is -not- what i expected. Heh, when the more talkative guy was talking *not using names >_<* and said 'anata de mo' (20:53), it sounded like Orochimaru. Can't wait till the next episode! ^^
Good episode. Can't wait till next week when we get to see more of _______ and _______.
i also couldve sworn i heard the more talkative guy mention gaara's name in that episode too
response to below: actually i was just adding to what kal-A posted.....it had nothing to do with the manga

No he didn't, Aone/Anbu would have so caught that.
Edit: Disregard all the other stuff I said.
Another Edit: OK, I screwed up a little bit in explaining.
In the manga the talking guy said: "Gaara is no longer there." However the translator put a little note saying he was unsure exactly what the name is.
In Aone's subbed version the talking guy says: "That is out of character." You do hear something that sounds like "Gaara". However, since we don't speak Japanese we think we hear him talking about Gaara.
Also "That is out of character." Makes a lot more sense if you take into account what they are talking about in their conversation.
but i dont know how they could mix such different phrases up... unless gaara means "character".
I've read a lot of the manga....
without spoiling anything, I think that the upcoming 10 episodes shall be very exciting for you anime-only people! I wish I hadn't gotten impatient and spoiled the story for myself.
Overall I really like 80, much more so than 79 actually. Pretty emotional too, I'm gonna miss the 3rd!
Yeah, this episode really makes you wonder what Naruto would have been like if raised normally. He may have been the fairly quiet, mild-mannered guy we saw in this episode.
As for ________ and ________ coming and saying "Gaara isn't here" (if that's what it was) were they hoping to join in the invasion, and possibly take power for themselves. That's my theory.
