RE: how to play DVD files? FMP downloaded but no picture

i had similar problems with my fmp eps from kickass subs but got them to play with no problem after trying
the core media player <-it can play .mkv and .ogm
If core media fails, download all the latest versions of all the following codecs/filter-- xvid, ffdshow, vobsub and ogg
then you should download Media Player Classic and the eps should play fine.

You could download gspot and it will tell you the codecs used to encode it so you know what you need to download to play it.

    DVD?

    did you download a .vob?

if you downloaded a .vob, use a DVD player , if you have one on your computer, or one from the web you can download

It can't be dvd format because vlc, which he says he has already, plays dvd's without any extra plugins.
