did this happen after the first anime ended?
At some point I like the finality of killing off a main charactors, but then it's sad to see them go.
So, I was expecting a remake of inuyasha but instead it seems like naruto / naruto shippuuden except w\ alot longer in between.
The first anime series ended at Chapter 356. This new series covers the stuff that happened in the manga after the first anime ended. Chapter 357 and onwards.

is this thing going to be a one season show (26eps?) a year round (52) or another "until it's done" fest?
it's only the first episode and we've seen Kohaku killing his family flashback 3 times. that's not a good sign for things to come.
(not to mention, all the tedious, good for nothing, power up arcs).

I just went to look up the last manga chapter and it was 558...
So, they're going to go from 367-558 in just 26 episodes?
They cant be serious, thats like 7 chapters per ep -.-

Why isn't that a good thing? I almost gave up on Inuyasha because the excruciatingly slow storyline of the anime was littered with filler garbage I couldn't even distinguish from the storyline garbage because I haven't read the manga. However by the looks of it the first two episodes covered a pretty decent chunk of plot, I'd like to see it go more quickly than it has.

who names their sub group "horrible subs"?
HorribleSubs is a straight rip of the Hulu stream. zGD is the subs from that stream on a HD Raw. It's pretty much 720p vs 400p.
i downloaded the zgd version and it has no subtitles. Downloading the horrible subs version now... I was just thinking of it like, if I had a sandwich shop called Horrible Subs.... nobody would eat there !

Haha, yeah. My favorite part was when they transformed into Miroku and were holding Sango in their arms. She was all cute and blushing at first, then she went crazy when she found out it wasn't him.
