Exactly....Calgary is so hyped now first playoff series win since 89 back when they won lord stanleys cup!!! Could it finally go to them?

RE: NHL playoffs

ooo, philly vs. toronto is gonna be sweet!

I love how Itatchi flames.

"LOL how can you think calgary will win you suck"

As Chouji Said, Calgary has a better chance of advancing than detroit does. Iyatchi, you clearly don't watch Hockey, or don't pay attention to it. Don't worry, you're sweidsh...maybe we'll forgive you.

But colorado will not win the cup, and neither will detroit.

Neither team has solid goaltending, and they aren't getting production from any of their top offensive talents...Save for Joe Sakic and Robert Lang. those guys kick SO much ass.

Well, I finally agree with you on something, Kagari :- ). Although you may be a little premature by already pairing Philly against Toronto (they still have to play the game). If it is Toronto, though, it'll be a down-to-the-wire series.

Also, I don't think Colorado or Detroit really has the potential to win the cup this year.

I'll be looking forward to that game tonight...

RE: NHL playoffs

Sharks vs Colorado, damn Colorado is going to be so hard to defeat. Sharks are probably going to lose to them. I bet when Selanne gets on the ice in the HP Pavilion everyone is going to BOO him. I think this match will last 6 games.

TORONTO: 4 OTTAWA: 1 final

bwabes, there was never any doubt my leafs would be moving on But you're right, it will be down-to the wire...I said toronto in 6, but it will most likely go to 7 games. The key is getting some offense going.

Philly isn't as fast as Ottawa, so offensive chances will be pretty even...and if it's a goaltender vs. goaltender matchup, which it most likely will be....I don't think Esche OR burke has what it takes.

12. #72

NHL playoffs

And Philly wins 3-1!!! Go Flyers, go Flyers...

EDIT: By the way, in my last post, I was talking about the Leafs fans, not the Detroit - Calgary thing.

NHL playoffs

Calgary 2-1 in OT oooooh ya baby!!!
Be afraid Detroit!

crappy about Toronto, they were just testing how philly would play...
no worries at all!

14. #74

NHL playoffs

Teams don't test other teams, chief. They play to win. And the Leafs lost.

15. #75

NHL playoffs

Sharks beat Colorado 5-2!!!! Woot! Man Colorado were playing dirty and the refs weren't calling anything. They are a bunch of poor sports. All that stuff was happening at the end with all those cheap shots when the game was over, just plain dirty. Patrick Marleau with his second hat trick of the playoffs! And good job Calgary! We underdogs need to stick together.

NHL playoffs

Leafs in 5.

NHL playoffs

Damn, Red Wings lost... but, it was the first game, they'll win the next game... I just love to see Shanahan, Hull, Yzerman play, veterans who knows how to play, I hate those teams such as Nashville, Columbus with these kids 18-20.... geez

18. #78

NHL playoffs

Hah, but in 18-20 years they will be the same age as those oldies and be the same way don't you think?
I believe the balance of hockey is changing, and the younger, the faster usually means the better you are....AS you can clearly see Gelinas man handled 3 detroit players in their own end and made a one handed pass with the stick right on to Nilson's stick and top corner...

They can't handle that!

Calgary will win!

Leafs in 6-7 i dunno
id hope 5

RE: NHL playoffs

hey what happened to colorado's golie? Roy. Did he retire or soemthing?

20. #80

NHL playoffs

Yeah he retired and now Aebischer (sp?) took over for him. He wasn't doing too good yesterday, and on top of that he took one cheap shot at Dimitrakos with his stick. "In the final 10:20 of the contest, Colorado amassed 54 minutes in penalties." Hahaha crazy.
