Guide how to make a DivX / Xvid file ?

Hi folks,

First of all...this is an awesome great anime board [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img]
I´ve got this question because I´ve got 120 One Piece mpeg files so far which I´ve streamed onto my PC.
They were broadcasted in German TV,and as a matter of fact I am German ^^
The thing is that every file is about 1 Gig ans so I alwasys put 5 files on a DVD-R and burned it.
Now I´d like to convert these files into Divx and Xvid but dont know how to do that.
Could somebody please give me a guide how to make DivX files...it should be explained well.
shouldn´t take to much time and the result should also be alright [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img] like the files from animeone.

Dr DivX does the job for me very nicely ^_^
Of course you have to pay to download the software unless you happen to *ahem* found one of those keygens or cracks that are floating around for the program.

Supporting them by actually paying for the software is a good thing to do as well though o_o'
