My bt downloads are always slow no matter how many seeds there are.. I have a router. Do i need to open some ports? What do i need to do?
On a router your net speed is divided (by the amount of active computers on the router) so if you have dsl (presuming 256k/256k) spliting it will most likely bring your speed down tremendously.
100k= 10kb/s
1000k=100kb/s
10000k=1000kb/s
and so on.
Originalkrn, yeah, you have to open up some ports. Check the ports that bt uses and route them through.

Yeah you need to open some ports.
go to the router's admin page, and then go to 'port forwarding', and then open up ports for 6881 to 6889
