Which anime distribution method to you prefer?

Wasn't sure if this was the place to put it, but i didn't think general anime was the place. Most of the time for new releases, groups put their release on Torrents or XDCC bots. This got me to thinking on what most people prefer.

Myself, i would vouch, like all of us, for the XDCC bot, due to it being quick and fast. But more and more ive noticed these days are small groups that like to use BT, but have no distro.

So im going with BT, only for the fact that it has a wide selection.

Personally tough, i see fserves going out of style. Most of the time i hardly bother a fserv, unless im searching for something that can not be found on BT. With most of them containt music, pictures, or torrents themselve its relatively easy to pass them up.

I kind of agree with you to a extent pookie.

BT is only as good as your peers and seeders, if there are none, your basically screwed.

Altough on xdcc bots, many can have queues of 20 or more, which is why i side with BT most of the time.

On my big series downloads, i usually go through BT, like for example to download all of trigun.

I like bittorrent because it kind of forces people to share.

Personally I don't have an irc bot because I play games online and it's like a pain in the ass to upload like that with a capped bw and I know everyone hates it when an fserve just closes when you go away to play some game. SO Fserve is definatly out.

I can't do XDCC bots myself but I love them for just getting one single episode and they are really fast. I don't mind the queueing in fast ones.

Overall bittorrent has always given me good speeds and my pc is on 24/7 anywayz and I can easily start/stop seeding something without really bothering anyone when I stop. So yay bittorrent!

On the past three or four torrents ive been on, the speed has been poort even after a few hours. It was a torrent that had about 10 seeds and 30 downloaders. Of course i look to see if anyones uploading, no one.

It really cheeses me off when people, have to take a lazy shortcut to everything, and won't let their BT upload.

I mean come on, are you that lazy that you can't give back?

Saying get it off BT to most naruto fans or people is like krptonite.

Bit torrent is better for most groups though because it cuts way down on the amount of bandwidth they need to have which cuts down on their bills. Of course you have alot of idiots who don't grasp the concept that if everyone shut off their BT upload nobody would ever get anything but that's the way some people are.

I prefer BitTorrent, but i'm in my college dorm right now so i can't use it and i must rely on direct downloads.
