this is the strangest thing i've seen, what is it?
i think its when you use your idle computer power to help the SETI guys look for aliens and things. It hooks up computers together and uses their power to add to theirs.
Its just to process info from seti in hopes of someday finding alien life out there
The join page was down, its back up now.. Join!
lol, we used to do seti at my highschool, fun stuff
Sounds risky no thx ^_^
its not that risky, SETI is pretty fun
i still don't understand what this is.
I've done it before, I was a bit sceptical at first, but looking at their sponsors gave me some confidence... I mean, the page is fairly well known, and also on the berkeley website, so it would be hard to lie about their sponsors without getting a lawsuit thrown at them.
yeh we used to do this in science class on our PC's
Don't wanna!!! DONT WANNA!!!
It's just using up your unused CPU cycles. What're you losing? Personally, I prefer the folding@home group, which uses those cycles to help cure diseases. Find out more here.
yeh, various groups have programs that do this, either one is a good choice to give something back
Sorry willik, I'm a long-time member of the Serious Sam group
Hrm... I'll see. Probably not though, we had it installed once and we decided to remove it for other things.

I dont understand i can't join....hmmm interesting...help?
