Well, I tried to add some focus to the sig. Think it looks any better?
It does look better the yellow on his shoulder is more mellow the figers arent blurred as much and it looks like less noise like BoC said.

For some reason the render looks really pixelated and low quality. Don't know if that's caused by the effect you're using or not. It's just not very smooth. It's especially apparent on the face.
It was probably due to the fact that I had a low quality render and tried to increase the quality, I'll fix it and update this post.

Pretty decent. The rather flat background actually fits the sig pretty well.
Took longer than it looks like it should've. 30~45 minutes.

Possible non-worksafe spoilers - I'd originally made this. That's a yellow overlay on top of a water fountain, for the record.

The Cagalli one is beautiful, i like the coloring and how the background compliments her hair so much. I even like the little mini-image next to her name, though think the segment chosen for the closeup is sorta awkward, almost off a bit too much to the right.

Aye, the Cagalli one is nice. The colour balance is intensely yellow, yet there is suddenly the red collar in the middle of it. It looks really good that way. And like Masa already said, the background and her hair fit together wonderfully.
Yay another sig maker, we have been a little low on our species for awhile...theres only been like what 4 or 5? Good stuff though man love your current ^.^

I'm official.
That kind of border doesn't work with a flat background because it only oversaturates the colorful parts. With a flat background it's just a black line in the parts with low color.
