Just did this, 5 minutes of boredom.
If anyone can tell me that cute anime chicks with guns aren't great then you haven't been around much...
Or not enough...
Either way simple but good
image fail!
Just did this.
Edit: For the love of god. I hate artifacts................
I didn't save as psd or anything. I saved it as 0 quality JPG. T-T

JPG pwns. It's flexible and max quality is virtually lossless while near-max quality is still damn good but 20% small filesize.

Lossy or not, there is pretty much no visible difference between a max quality JPG and PNG. If the JPG turns out to be smaller, I'll take the JPG. If PNG smaller, I'll take PNG.
Ok, I just did a little test with that Vincent wallpaper I made, PNG vs Max JPG
-Side by side, there are no differences (Faststone Image Viewer has this feature)
-JPG displays negligible artifacts at 300% zoom. I was able to tell because Faststone Image Viewer has an overlay feature that compares two images directly, and the difference can be easily spotted.
-JPG artifacts are slightly more visible when zoomed in 1000%, PNG is lossless as expected
-PNG was 50% larger than JPG
IMO, the 50% larger filesize does not warrant lossless compression. For small pictures like sigs, sure it's fine, but for larger images like wallpapers, filesize is very important if you want to put it online for others to see. JPG is the MP3 of the digital image world.

Well, if anyone wants em, heres the renders I used.
None individual, sorry.

I have like a hundred renders, I should start my own gallery....
Edit: Wow, that totally killed the layout. I'll link it instead. There we go. =)

nice, best ive seen in a while. text needs work, though you could just get rid of it all together.Originally Posted by master_me

I think 400x100 is too wide for what you're trying to do. Shrink it to 350x100 or even 300x100 so there's less "emptiness".
I agree as well. I'm a big fan of 300x100.
Oh, and thanks Kage
I made a new tut, and therefore a new sig : )
Also, me and another person are planning on making a graphics site. I finished the layout about two weeks ago, but I haven't really done anything with it for a while.

Ok first of all your #1 problem is text, in everything. Onto your sig; you de-saturated the render which is a big no in my book (and most other graphic artists out there), those griddy scanlines look horrible, and the sig has 0 flow. So you pretty much just smacked me in the dick after that gaara sig >.<'
Your template isn't horrible but it's deffinitley mediocre. The text again is horrible, and the banner leaves much to be desired. Try sticking to a few choice colors and make them flow. It doesn't need to be all techy looking to be badass. Simpler is easier and makes it look less noob-style.
Just my opinion :P
Well, your opinion affects us greatly
Multicoloring is fine as long as you don't blend clashing colors like orange and green.Originally Posted by master_me
