I think you should make the sig in yellow and orange like that glow around him, it will look good. It doesnt fit with the green especially when the green got that toxic color.
The text is great though, the positioning of the render and that snake-like green glow is very good to.

Okay, so I brightened the BG. However, I kinda like Luffy there b/c it goes w/ the theme of angry shanks. Does anyone know the dialog between Shanks and Luffy around that moment?
Darkmaster don't take this the wrong way but you have to lose that text of your name you always got in your sigs, it simply never fits.
In the shanks one you need to work some on the bg. It is to plain and simple with just one red, try new things, experiment.
Other than that it is coming along nicely keep up the work.
I definatley see what you mean about the text, and I'm working on it although it's too late to fix up the older sigs. However, I'm not sure I agree w/ you on the BG. I don't see how adding blue or someother color in there will make it look better.
Damn, getting text to fit seems to be my biggest problem.
I don't mean adding another color, what i mean is brushing more, alternate between black and white to get highlights and shadows, go through some tutorials. Kage's video tuts are great, check the first video tut he did, it will teach you a bit about brushing.
It's an animation, so I guess I can't use it here. I'm not too fond of it.

Lazie i think that you should post the tutorials you have been reading or make one yourself.
PSJ, I like that one. I like the extreme contrast between the render and the background and the brightness of the colours.
xDarkMaster, I really like how the style of the background matches the drawing style of the render. I think that's really well done. You definitely need to work on the text a bit more though. Just stare at your sig for a bit to soak in the atmosphere that you're working with, and then go to someplace like 1001 free fonts and download a bunch that you think match the mood, and then try them all out on your sig, with different effects, blending styles, placements, etc, until you find one that seems really awesome. It's kinda hit-and-miss, but that's my usual method for doing text.

Also, nice work PSJ although it feels empty on the right side.
The emptyness on the right side is sort of half the thing with it. It gives it that much more feeling on the left with those two.
