I dont really like that top layer effect. Never did and never will. Other than than, they all look pretty decent. You should really try using some better brushes. I posted a tut about using brushes well in the last page of the Photoshop help thread.

i really like the one you're using as your current sig, all of them are not bad at all. your style seems different and unique.

Thanks, tring to learn everything I can about Adobe Photoshop, I'm used to Fireworks, they're not so different, but so far prefer Adobe overall, and to all who posted tutorials, Excellent work and thanks, gonna go try and find some renders.

@lucifus: it's alright, but i say it doesn't beat the one you're using or a few of the others, but it's still good none the less.

@master_me: those are nice and i don't say that, because it's rockman, just that it's nice.

Tone down the scanlines. You can put them to soft light or something, it will look alot better.

good one TonTon (lol, tho you hate that character that's just sorta what I remember you as!) I like it alot. You and Lucifus should work on getting new avatars too. Lucifus, yours just seems to be too low quality for my liking. Also second PSJ's recommendation about the scanlines.

Brushes huh? Hmm... Just figured out how to downloaded and loaded a few, I never used brushes before, only Clone stamp and controlled the lighting.
