Professional level advice for what, helping my screen show wrongful contrast?
Sorry couldn't resist.
come to think of it, assertn's sig is a little bright looking. u might wanna fix those colours.
^^
must...resist...laughing...aloud...instead...of... telling...people...to...stop...going...off-topic...
Yeah it possible but rare. I see it all the time between using IE and Safari. it's how the ISP read the color data in an image and loads it to your comp. Most of the time the computer just ignores it or compesates but some times somthing goes wrong anf you get that. when it come to color balance it does have an effect on the contrast of the color so it will effect brightness and what not but through an annoying round about kinda way. But I trust you have every thing under control setup wise but you kight want to try a diffrent ISp just to compare if it's not that then ist some weird fluke that only effects you for some odd reason..Originally posted by: AssertnFailure
ISP not reading the colors right? is that even physically possible??Originally posted by: Lefty
@ Assertn: Still, somthing is wrong at your end. It might be that your ISP is not reading the colors right so it comes out dark. or it might be that the forum server is sending you bad data. When I calibrate I always use color bars and my gut feeling. But since I do video editing my calibrations are fine tuned lmore than the averadge monitor.
color bars may calibrate your RGB values, but it has nothing to do with brightness/contrast
i do lots of multimedia work, so i fine tune mine more than the average monitor as well [img][/img]
lefty i think you mean browser, not ISP. ISP = internet service provider. that would be like AOL, telewest, British telecom etc. (i dont know any american ones apart from AOL).
i cant say i notice a difference between IE and firefox. but then they might both be calibrated correctly to my monitor.
I'd like to credit r3n and his grunge tutorial on directing me to DLing new brushes.
^^kudos to knives on mentioning the gate idea
heh thx. if i could give you a pointer on the grunge it would be to use more brushes. i can easily see every brush you used for that sig, and if theres less they usually dont blend aswell, unless you're going for a collage effect. so yeah, spam the hell outta that canvas with a shitload of brushes. will look better in the end if you use brushes that go well together.
imo i dont like being able to see patches of the base cloud filter, usually means ive not grunged it enough
I use ISP as a generic term for IE, Safari, AOL, Mozilla. Call it bad habit
go easy on him R3N, this is one of his first sigs after all, he is getting better, and after I help him some more(b/c he lives in my area) he get rid of that problem
R.I.P Captain America.
Heh, got some new brushes, had to try them out on a sig, so I made a Dosu one. What you guys think?
Nice, your sig are some of the best I've seen. keep up the good work.
looks nice possible i like your style. is that a dosu in the middle of the sig to?
Wow, I went about three pages back (been a while since I visited the forums) and saw Toruxxx
Good Friends better Rivals sig - must say its awesome work man.
Saw r3n's Spawn sig, now that is really cool, i like the whole text and green colour of it, really fits well with good old Al Simmons.
Well, here is a sig I made for my buddy for a character I drew up for him. Thought I would just post it here, I made the character in photoshop and then attempted to make a sig, he likes it and thats all that counts ... though I wish I had time around to make a better one, maybe do it this weekend.
hey ... I just noticed theres an image button here, amazing what you notice sometimes lol.
thx, and i like that sig, the drawing looks professional. keep it up!
thx r3n, coming from you it means alot.
The drawing was a bitch and a half though to make, the face (still can't make them up to snuff) was traced from the vampire from vampire hunter d:bloodlust so I can't take full creadet, its hard trying to make anime style nose and eyes and where they get positioned.
Hard to explain lol, I'm still learning I guess.
hehe thx for that Raposo ur sig is nice the bg is very nice and good stock use aswell nice job
Nice, your sig are some of the best I've seen. keep up the good work. Thanks guys, and yes it is. It's Dosu running forward, revealing his arm.
looks nice possible i like your style. is that a dosu in the middle of the sig to?
looks nice. ill try to copy your style a little sometime to see if i can make it look good.
Well ... last night I started this to try and force my mind to go numb and let me go to sleep! So, today, before and then after my class I decided I would finish what I started (in the all coolness of Naruto: That is My Way of the Ninja! lol) well ... usually when I think its worth finishing.
Anyway, here it is, its Warhammer 40k, the character from the new game Dawn Of War which I hope to buy sometime next week. Anyway, I thought it would be a decent idea to keep in practice since I am sorta getting board of my sig at the moment ... might make a good one around my avatar. Did a little grunge action and some wallpapers from the 40k site.
