they're not to dark on my comp. i can see all of my sigs very well.
@Terra: well i just used the lasso tool to cut it like that. i thought it would look nice so i gave it a shot.
Folled around with this one for a few minutes for fun.
@Assertn: you might have a problem with your monitor being too dark. PSJ's sigs a fine.

and regardless, the ratio of dark areas to light areas is still very off-balance
levels is good at fixing that, and auto level might be able to get you good results in a matter of a second (although it can be a little unreliable at times)

@ Assertn: Still, somthing is wrong at your end. It might be that your ISP is not reading the colors right so it comes out dark. or it might be that the forum server is sending you bad data. When I calibrate I always use color bars and my gut feeling. But since I do video editing my calibrations are fine tuned lmore than the averadge monitor.
Well here's my new shit, request by a lady over at DeviantART. Making her name look good was a bitch so at the end I just thought "Fuck this" and made it solid black. Looks surprisingly good. Anyway, thoughts?

color bars may calibrate your RGB values, but it has nothing to do with brightness/contrast
i do lots of multimedia work, so i fine tune mine more than the average monitor as well [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img]

hehe. well i have tried brighten them up a little but it doesnt look the way i want them to so i keep them dark. for example my cursed sig with black and purple looks faggy if you make it brighter. and the saito sig doesnt capture saito that good if you got it brighter it just doesnt look good. ans wel the shino sig i dont have any explanation really but i like it dark.
