Thanks cooldude, eraser did the trick, used the background eraser with a low tolerance and it seemed to work out fairly well. Yea I need to start doing this on my computer and not my laptop, images look so much nicer on it and the color/brightness detail show up alot better so i dont notice things like that till later hehe.

@Kage: I like the first one better (minus text). It's good, I just feel that the color might be a bit too saturated.
@Hellraiser: I like it, I think it looks really good. If you wanted to improve it, you could try taking out the white parts in the background.
@triagic7: Take the picture of sand was a good idea, I like it. Garra, and his shadow look good. Problems are, blending as you mentioned, and the red text. It's a little hard to read. Perhaps if you have the text a 1px stroke it would help, I'm unsure. As for blending, I would use the eraser at 30% opacity and slowly erase the right side of Gaara until it blended better.
The guy in my sig is just fanart I found on deviantart. The image was such good quality that I had to use it.

you put a hue/saturation layer in over the bg part to make it half as saturated or darkened

i think you should go with the look you had on the first version of it and take the text fomr this new one but put it in the top left corner. otherwise its awesome.
all of you have really improved since i checked last time i guess i need to fire up my old ps again and try to make some sigs on par with yours even if thatwill be very difficult.
