I think on gaara's head it's something with death if I remeber correctly
Hokage's hat = kanji for fire
Gaara's tattoo = I love death... heard from many people
Bonus:
Kazekage's hat: kanji for wind.
Asuma Sarutobi's sash= kanji for fire same as in the hokage's hat.
And... there are no stupid questions...just stupid people. heh, heh
no gaara's tattoo says "love"....gaara's name is like "i love death".....i think
but im pretty sure about the tattoo
edit: oh and btw, this is also why alot of times in gaara fanart you'll see people replace the kanji on gaara's forehead with a heart symbol instead

I checked and I'd say you won. I don't know how to upload a pic, but I check a gaara's pic and the kanji page on about, and the kanjis are almost the same. I guess the differences are more on the caligraphy so, likely it won't alter the meaning. Next time I won't believe in everything I read on the net...

Yes the tatto does say love!! I'm not sure about the name thing??.... hokage's hat does read fire in chinese atleast.
I know gaaras tattoo represents his love for death;anarchy;destruction;ect.
Kanji are Chinese. We share the same Kanji (for the most part).
Ai = Love = the symbol on Gaaras head.
Hino or Ho = Fire = The symbol on Hokage's hat.
So --
Gaara means "I love death"
and the tatoo means "love" ?
