I dunno about the tackyness of the posts or whatever but I think you can change the background...try going on 'my forums' or help and you might find a way to change the colour scheme...

If by normal you mean 'back to the old forum' then I highly doubt it, this thing cost the powers money wheras the other was free, and apparently is better for them with bandwidth or something like that [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-tongue.gif[/img].
