What if users have the option of viewing or not viewing other users' sigs?
Think of it this way
1. You can have the good gotwoot back with signatures, and the whole 9 yards and bring traffic and people to talk about stuff
2. stay ghetto and have no sigs, no avatars, the whole 9 yards of crap, and you get the point..
