Naruto Episode 72 Discussion

[Hatake Kakashi]

Being a manga reader, I have been practically drooling for this episode ever since I realized it would get to this point.

Just FYI, in the manga Orochimaru didn't have containers of human parts in his little lab, he had actualy human bodies hanging on the wall like dead livestock. Some of them were even still alive but bleeding.

Also, Hokage's speech was awesome, better than even in the manga, the voice actor that does him is just an outstanding talent.

As for that person in the jutsu being the 4th, I can't say anything about that because its a spoiler.


Oh and the person holding Naruto is most likely the 3rd, Yondaime seemed to have blue on under his robes, and I believe Sarutobi was holding him after the Kyubi was sealed.

I usually delete episodes after I watch them, but this is good enough to keep.

Now I will walk away from this thread, when I come back I am guessing their will be speculation on who some of those guys were in the flashbacks...since the anime viewers have just now seen them.

wasnt kakashi talking about being able to compete with orochimaru, then oro responded and kakashi got hella scared

Agreed didnt like much about it other than the ochy lab thing that was kinda cool...all i am begining to see at this point of naruto is DBZ...whats it been 4, 5, 6 eps since och and 3rd started fighting? how far have they got? well so far we got a bit of back ground on ocha and got to see 3rds summon weapon... thats about all i see so far from all of this... mabey the next episode will be decently good enuff to watch with my old school naruto addiction in place instead of wow this is pretty boring so far

naruto is actually somewhat similar to dbz. naruto isn&#39;t following the exact storyline of dbz but it has similarities scattered around. if you can&#39;t tell that it has SOME similarities than you need to die.

PS. i&#39;m not saying that naruto is dbz, btw.

Why are you getting confused over a fan that is not even there? I keep looking at it, but still don&#39;t see anything that looks like the Uchiha clan symbol. Their is symbol on this guys back, but it looks more like a ying yang as someone else mentioned.

It is most likely Kakashi with the spiral symbol on his back nothing more.

NARUTO HAS A STORYLINE and DBZ DOESNT
that&#39;s the big difference.. also they&#39;re in complete other times.. the fighting style is also ALOT .. REALLY ALOT different than dbz.. with the scene picking and stuff, you maybe don&#39;t notice.
Anyway the ONLY fucking reason you (and some others) say it&#39;s like dbz is because the waiting time: &quot;A damn this takes so long i want it to go further.&quot;
WELL DEAL WITH IT. Not much goes in a 20min episode, the action the suspense and whatever needs to be in it. Not that you see every fight after fight flashing by with almost no talking. That would SUCK.

The only reason people say Naruto is like DBZ is becos it IS. It&#39;s just the fact that you guys are too short-sighted to realise anything other than Naruto itself. You simply say, Naruto good, DBZ bad (which is the truth btw), so automatically there&#39;s nothing similar between the two.
I think maybe some people should open up and just face facts. If there was nothing similar between the two animes, then no one would mention it now, would they?

I dont know why people make so much fuss over it anyway. It&#39;s just the way it is, so work with it. No point complaining.

think about this.....dbz at one point was one of the most popular shows in the world
now one piece and naruto are huge in japan

all 3 of these series DO have their similarities with the occasional contrived battles and elaborate plots/character buildup. Just because the producers of dbz became greedy bastards and purposely stretched the series for as long as possible doesnt mean that the series in itself is bad. I&#39;m sure the apparent flaws of dbz are nowhere near as bad in the manga version.

The point anyway, is that a great way to ensure a large viewing audience is to attract the same people that were pulled in by the older classics, using similiar methods. Naruto IS like dbz, just without the flaws that dbz had.

My tip to you is to actually pay attention to what happens in Naruto.
Just because a guy doesn&#39;t die every second episode you don&#39;t have a right to call it boring and absolutely not by DBZ standards.

So what if the 3rd &quot;just started fighting&quot;. Have you thought about that they switch back and forth with Naruto&#39;s team &amp; Konohamaru&#39;s thoughts too? And have you thought about that the Hokage is an important character &amp; Orochimaru currently the #1 villain? Would you really be satisfied if Hokage just said &quot;GO TO HELL&#33;&quot; and killed him after 2 minutes? No?

Now now guys... I can see how some people are infuriated about people making comparisons to DBZ. And in a sense, I am aswell. But fact remains that Naruto has vast influences from DBZ. Both sides have points.

Completly right there. DBZ was literally. Oh i am getting ready to do this move but i need to Grunt and yell to get the energy. with naruto. they are takeing alot of time because alot of this is happaning at the same time but they have to show it. so when it appers there is a brake in the action the other part of the story gets put on pause. they just dont stand around untill they come back to it. There is loads of Chariter and story development. If you are watching for Fights alone. you are watching the Wronge serise. A battle with Deep rooted emotions Is much more exciting then. oh. you are my nemisis. and just fighting.

ok not being too pointy but there is something very wrong with Kakashi&#39;s picture....he has the protector covering his right eye rather than his left eye which has the sharingan......so we can say Kishimoto SCREWED up there....and its not just that the protector fell over the wrong eye....the eye shown is not sharingan and it doesn&#39;t even have that scar.......so yea...Kishimoto SCREWED up.

Just compare every anime episode with the manga and then you&#39;ll find several changes everytime, some are minor but a few are really major, that they should&#39;nt have changed...
