I'm sure if you ordered enough international channels off of satelite, you could probably get TV Tokyo..

Wow that would be cool to see Naruto in the US as long as they had a way to dub it over really well, but they of course dont want to use the money which is sad but thats great for the Phillipens I hope they do the change over well.
"This bit is unconfirmed but I have heard from one of our members who lives in the Phillipines that the Naruto anime will begin airing on TV on March 1st in the countries native language of Tagalog (Filipino). If you are living in the Phillipines be sure to check your local TV listings for Naruto! "
woot! go flips!
I'm glad they didn't bring Naruto to the US. American voice actors ruin anime.
hope flip dub isn't as worse as american dubs... *sigh* im scared they're gunna call kakashi, Mr. Karate ... let's hope the americans don't sub it ....
A good English dub of it would be great. I don't understand japanese so all I'm doing now is reading the words. I guess most of you understand Japanese or something you're all always like "American voice actors don't make the effort to properly convey emotions” I don't understand japanese so as far as I know they could be having some heart felt emotional moment and they are saying everything sarcastically…..I don’t know if Chinese and Japanese are similar or not, but my ex gf is chinese. She told me if you were to directly translate a sentence from Chinese it would seem out of order, and the emphasize on certain words would be different. If they are similar in this sense you would really need a good understanding of Japanese and its culture just to understand the verbal intention of portrayed emotions. I’m surprised so many of you bother to download subbed versions of Naruto and not just get the raw version. I mean after all they “Americanize” the subs which kind of makes it dirty no?
o_0 what are you talking about
not as many of us speak japanese as you think. we just really enjoy the anime.. as far as changing the meaning goes, i'm pretty sure that they dont translate word for word, but rather what the meaning of what they are saying is
dont say thAT
it would be cool to see naruto in tv...but im not philipino

whta language do you speak in the phillipens(sp?) then. i like to watch anime on my comp. the only thing i can see on tv is sailor moon, beyblade and hamtaro -.- not things i watch...
Yay! I am Filipino so now i can watch my favorite anime in my native language but i dont live there so it would be hard to come by. Oh well my cuzes there can enjoy it now. PiNoY PrYdE!
well imo sub > dub
I like the Japanse language with english sub more then any dub..

if you don't speak japanese then how do you know they are even conveying emotions properly? For all you know they are doing it far worse then any English dub? I don’t know… Just because they yell loudly and screech their voice doesn’t mean they’re doing an amazing job, maybe you just think they are because you don’t know what they are saying?? If I understood Japanese I would know one way or the other. So for me it’s between reading what they are saying and guessing the emotions or (hopfully) getting to hear a dub in english or spanish in the future. Ya hopfully they won’t use crappy voices or out of place accents. Love hina comes to mind…
I have a friend who is kinda freaky about anime he refuses to watch anime that’s been dubbed, but he doesn’t speak a word of Japanese. He’s like “its art and it shouldn’t be altered”, but it’s already altered your reading subs of it… and the wording has been changed around because a direct translation would seem like broken English. About a month ago I went over his house and he was watching escaflowne ( subbed) with the sound off because he said the voices were to annoying…. Hehe so really I think he’s just being pigheaded.
Well I'm a philip. But i rather see it on Japanse with sub, cause I'm better at English then Tagalog.

well from personal experience i would say that the way you enjoy an anime all depends like um....let me see if i can explain any better. when i was young i used to watch anime in spanish ex: dragon ball, dbz, dbgt, saint seiya, um...mikami ghost hunter? or something like that. and i have to say that i loved them. then i heard them in english and i was like bleh, i also heard the a jap version one with subs once...bleh again. so the first language/form you see an anime is the way you end up likeing it. hope i made some sort of sense
Kinda wish I lived in the Philipines now...Maybe I'll tell me buddy who's stationed over there to tape it for me or something and mail it over...

well us brits would jst get the american dub, and seeing as i already detest the accent it would get on my nerves no matter how well it was dubbed
thats great for the phillipenes
i still wish i had a channel that aired the japanese episodes here in the usa
r3n: american accent? i cant imagine how weird an american accent would sound, being american and all.....but its an amusing thought
Chaz: are you suggesting that we all take extensive japanese classes so we can watch anime better? frankly i want to get out of school asap....and im not a big fan of language classes
