since all of those have or will be broken there is no absolute defence. the only really good and fool proof defence is running and hiding.
kidoumaru's armor wasn't a lvl 2 ability.
like everybody said, all ' absolute defences' have been broken, so there's only 1 solution......run and hide!

Well, I voted Neji just because he's so cool and using chakra seems to be alot more flexible than using sand or spider-armor. It doesn't weigh anything and lets you move around.
But everyone who has said running is right, the only absolute defense is either running or never getting into a fight at all.
Plus, defence isn't everything: you can have a truly, utterly unbreakable absolute defence, and if you don't have an equally strong offense you won't win a fight.
kidoumarus defence was never broken, just he didnt use it again..

kage bunshin and that bone ability arent really defences
neither is kawirama, its more of a escape technique
other defence techniques are:
sakons and ukons oni gate wall thing
sound fatties earth wall
hokages earth wall
and jiraiya steel hair technique
hmm 2nd hokages water barrier?

if ur smart, u can use kagebunshins as a shield, so it is considered as a defence
i had to vote for gaara because he seems to have multiple "absolute defenses" and unlike anyone else his first he doesn't have to use chakra because the sand moves on its own as explained so he's already got a headstart over everyone else. and when you do manage to get past that he has the sand covering his body which uses chakra like everyone elses and on the same level.

Yep. I betcha chidori or rasengan can penetrate all those defenses listed.
I actually think that the most effective one is Neji's. Yes, it was broken, but with a crap load of practice, I think that Neji will eventually be able to focus his charka onto that one blind spot so well that it will be like it has no blind spots.

i meant to say that it'd be stupid if byakugan had no blind spots and kaiten does have a weakness (kidoumaru figured it out).

true, But kidoumaru was like neji, he just used his web stuff to form a layer to protect him like gaara, but every defense will have a weak point. The chain is only as strong as it's weakest link.
