Well, I don't have favorite individual episodes, but I do have favorite sequences.

My top three episode sequences:

3.) 46-47 (Hinata vs. Neji)

I loved this fight when I first saw it, and I still do. See, Hinata is easily one of my favorite characters, and these two episodes are the reason. At first, I thought of her as merely being cute in her shyness and crush on Naruto. However, after these episodes, I saw how much potential she has as a character. After all, she was the true first person to acknowledge Naruto, and that is incredibly important.

Another thing I got out of these episodes was my sheer HATRED of Neji. I'm sorry to all the Neji fans out there, but no matter how cool a character this guy is, he is easily the biggest bastard in the entire series. His view points introduced in this episode not only conflict with one of the main themes of the series, but also with mine. In my eyes, there is no fate or destiny, there is only the choices you make. Besides, he nearly killed Hinata, and as I said, Hinata is one of my favorite characters.

Oh, and one more thing: my all time favorite quote in Naruto is said in these episodes:

"A Dropout can defeat a Genius with Hard Work."

2.) 48-50 (Rock Lee vs. Gaara)

Rock Lee is easily one of the most incredible characters in all of Naruto, and these three episodes are the ones where he gets the most development. These episodes demonstrate just how powerful a character Lee is. His past and his progress is shown, and he shows what it truly means to be driven. His words as he tells his goal to Gai, as well as when he's Sparring with Neji, are incredibly touching.

It has one of the most thrilling fight sequences in the series in it as well. I also find it humorous as to how torn up the floor gets in this single fight. In all, a very good pair of episodes.

1.) 60-62 (Naruto vs. Neji)

As I said, I detested Hyuuga Neji at this point, and I still dislike him to a point. This episode was pretty much payback in my eyes; Neji deserved to be beat down to the ground for what he did to Hinata and his utterly awful outlook on the universe.

That said, this fight was still incredibly enjoyable to me. We get to see Neji's reasons for being such a bastage, and we get to see my favorite attack in all of Naruto: Hakke Rokujyuuyon Shou. IT LOOKS SO FREAKING COOL!

Also, these episodes also reminded me of one of my favorite scenes in any movie: the final fight with Smith in Matrix Revolutions. Not just because the action was superb and incredible, but because the whole "Choice Vs. Fate" theme comes into play in an incredible way here. "Let me ask you something... why do you continue to fight in the face of fate?" "Because I choose to... I mean, because I was called a dropout." If I had the materials, I would so turn this fight into an AMV for Neodammerung and Why, Mr. Anderson?
