For a disturbing film try Audition...that film is sooo fucked up. And yeah try the Japanese Ring movies (Ring, Ring 2, Ring 0, The Spiral aka Rasen). Phone is also a pretty scary film, Dark Water is pretty good as well.
IT and The Shining are quite scary...though even though The Shining is considered such a classic I think its nowhere near as good as the book. The Room 217 (or whatever number it is) scene is terrible in the film in comparison to the version in the book...

if u want disturbing, The Cell is pretty good.....i also hear the new 'butterfly effect' one is supposed to be mentally disturbing. haven't seen it myself though.
i always found the childs play ones pretty scary as well....but thats back when i was a kid.

the shining was alright, from what i remember. I watched it sum time ago, cant quite remember most of it.
and yeh, childs play looked scary when i was younger too, but the last i watched it, it wasnt all that good.

Heh, yeh i've seen that before. Revolting really.
Sites like rotten.com and ogrish.com are also pretty grotty. I havnt been to those sites in a long time (if u've seen it, you know why), so i dunno if they're still operating or not.
Gah... that earlier pic put me off my breakfast

The concepts I find most disturbing in horror movies are children and dark water, and therefore I recomend Dark Water.. really freaked me out
