Okay..has anyone wondered WHY NONE of the anbu has gone thru the flame shield by breaking the rooftop and goign in the house and coming out into the inside of the shield by using the rooftop of the house again?

If they always do that jutsu (turn into mud) they can't loose then, they should use it all the time...
have you actually been following this series? how many times have you seen them use that jutsu? oro used it in the forest, kakashi exchanging himself for a log many times, it's a replacement technique and it's meant to surprise your opponent and evade an attack to create a chance to attack, and if you actually understood this ep then you would know they were just playing with eachother

I thought the part where Orochi summoned the 1st and 2nd Hokage's was a bit overdone for my tastes. If Orochi is more poweful than all those Hokages, then it's understandable... but he has to be pretty damn powerful to summon 3 Hokages in an instant with ease.
Either that or:
1. Hokages arent all that strong.
2. the summons arent as strong as the real thing.
I honestly dont know how powerful any of these guys are, so im in no position to jump into any conclusions.
It's just that i would only expect sumthing like this from the last mother boss at the end of the series, being it's THAT good a technique.
I'm also anxious to see what Shino has in store. We've hardly seen much of his abilities, and i bet he's really strong since he knows everything thats going on and dispelled the genjutsu. Though he never really was one of my fav characters, i can't wait to see what he can really do.
You mean get inside that big building and punch thrue the roof to save the hokage, right... hmm... they could have done that, going from Underneth...
I thought episode 69 definitely ruled. Sasuke was gaining on Gaara, Pakku was biting Shikamaru (who was never really under the illusion spell, lol), and Gai whooped some serious ass ("He's Fast" "Not just fast, [BAM!]". One thing i was really upset about is Shino. I read some past posts in this topic, but i was really surprised to see someone so cool be such a...well...wuss. Why is he just hiding in the shadows? He may be planning something, but, come on, he's definintely one of the stronger Genin (and definitely Chuunin Level), and I personally think he could take Sound Ninja without any trouble. Hokage finally looked like what he's supposed to look like. No more hanging around talking, he actually threw down and took Orochimaru for a while. The ANBU team was all like "He's so strong," and he really was. I was real disappointed to see that about 7 minutes in total were wasted by Konohamaru and Iruka (POINTLESS!!!!!

itachi_: in responding to your spoiler... you definately are not paying atention when reading the manga... that jutsu that you said XXXX did is nowhere as accurate as what he really did...
Anyways... I wonder why the Hokage doesnt go after one of the guys doing the barrier even if he risks being hit by oruchimaru... I'm sure one clean hit will be enough to weaken the barrier and let the anbu do their thing

sure Orochimaru is a genius at all ( i think ), cause all are scared of his power...
but seems like the hokage has some great special attacks =) and the next ep. will show us some (i hope so )
and about the konohamaru part .... maybe it will make sense in the next episodes.

What exactly jutsu does hokage 3rd perform when orochimaru is trying to summon the last of the three coffins, (hokage 4th)... he's like counter it, holding his hands toghether, looks like he's praying..

The Gai vs Kabuto theory seems good too, so Kakashi goes Chidori through the Kekkai, but i doubt it.. since the Kekkai can only be destroyed from the inside (according to the ANBU leader)
Or Gai and Kakashi teaming up vs Kabuto
And Naruto, Shikamaru, Sakura (and maybe Shino) beat up the sand genin team
next episode has to be really kickass
Slain: the bug freak = Shino... And in my opinion is the freakiest character out there and that's why I think he is the best... he doesnt need to fight... just let the bugs f435ck up the enemy while he hides...
Maybe they have the purple flame field going just underneath the roof, so Sarutobi and Orochimaru could levitate the tiles and use them for Shurikens like they did.
Oh, and the ANBU are not the sharpest knives in the drawer either. Hence, the one idiot who just jumped at the flaming forcefield and got killed.
The only ANBU that i have ever seen that has any kind of promise is the guy in the white cloak now.
