I still don't really think that this was filler. Just because something is dragged out doesn't make it filler. IMHO filler is when an entire episode has nothing to do with the progressing story. For example, Getbackers has a lot of filler episodes... entire episodes where they go to the hospital, or they go on a picnic and fight some monkeys - these stories have nothing to do with the main plot.

However, the staring and conversation in 66-67, however dragged, was still part of the story, therefore not filler IMO.

Doesn't look like a filler episode, looks like they followed the manga pretty well (Although, I dont know Japanese, so,

), and of course they had to animate the fighting, which is a plus,

Also, I do agree, Gaara was a bit messed up, I was glad when Kankuro stepped in front of him,

Anyways, I will be waiting for the Sub version as well, I want to find out what else they added into Hokage and "Kazekage" speach with each other,

Looks more of an explaination episode then a filler,

This series doesn't really have filler eps IMHO. If there's no action, there's explanation or story development instead. If someone wants to say examples of pure obvious filler then be my guest, but I can't think of any.

Actually.... the one example I can think of is Konohamaru leading Naruto on a 'shortcut' to the stadium then the bull chase....

ehh....i was sorta disappointed...i mean, this ep isnt a filler and all, but it just doesnt have that face pace you know? plus, i was looking for a LOT more nins in the village, not like 10 konoha nins vs 5 sand and 3 snakes haha.

it's a bit far away but i'm looking foreward to seeing the animated look of ph33r on sasgay's face after he sees how much damage the rasengan did to the watertank

not to mention the look on all the anime sasgay fanboys

oh man i'm SO gonna get flamed for that part of the post
but i'm tired of arguing about why sasgay sucks so i'll try and ignore any flames

and.. that's when i realized all this is off topic

eeghh bad art again. Didn't like the action much either- black streaks criss crossing and clanging sounds?. IMO they're spoiling the invasion (so far). Sincerely hope they pick it up and not spoil the upcoming super cool fights.

I know Kabuto didn't fight but I thought Gemma and Baki fought each other. I better reread my manga.

well i think the art in 68 wernt all that good so maybe thats why they looked shit but thats my opinion but none the less it was still a good episode. It did surprise me that Oro was Kazekage but was a lil confused of where the real kazekage is? any one wanna help me lol so im not confused no more. i havent read the manga so i dunno but i dun mind spoilers either.

The real kazekage was killed along time ago.This is all apart of Orochimaru's plan to use Sasuke's body.Oro's soul is forever binded to earth,so he is immortal.Even though Oro's list of jutsu's read as long as the hokage's,he still wants one more thing to be complete,the sharingan.He knows Sasuke iss weak because he wants power to kill his brother,so he is trying to take advantage of that.I won't get in depth with it unless you want to know.
The white Anbu member is just a regular Anbu.The black one you saw with the sand nin's by Kakashi and Gai is Kabuto.

the spoilers contain themselves to speculation on what the next ep is about though

i think he's just holding back a bit
he wouldn't fight unless oro ordered him too
and i dont think he wants to draw unnessesary attention to himself

besides he really likes gathering intel, and he might not know enough about kakshi or gai to know wether he's able to beat them or not

he seems like the kind of guy who likes to be on the safe side whatever he does

the next ep is probably just gonna be the chasing or something
this n that chasing this and that

i think we WILL get to see the summoning of the two previous hokages though
ep68 ended with chapter 116.. and he summons the hokages before chap 117 ends
my bet is that they'll include at least a bit of chapter 118 too though
cause that's just the chase
that wont take long to anime or anything
so basically my guess is ep69 will be an oro/3rd staredown + the summoning, and the start of the sasuke chase =p
