Here's the info.

http://msnbc.msn.com/id/4065701/

I put signatures on all my emails, just in case for some reason the worm DOES use my emails to send the crap to other people... I'm not sure if I have it or not (SOMEONE uninstalled our virus scanner *glare@Gai*), but I do know my dad's virus scanner found out that he had the virus in his inbox folder.

Most of the attachements are zips anyways, then inside those you have to run the exe's. Pretty stupid system really.

Not necessarily stupid, but ignorant. There's a difference.
I think I know precisely what I mean

I used to get at least 50 spam a day, now it's down to about 1 a week.

Didn't they pass some prosecution law thingie about companies responsible for spam? I figure that's why it's stopped. At least for me.

I still get tons of spam. The thing they passed is only for companies or peoples or whatever located in the US... So, if you change your email address, or if you live in Britain or Korea, or wherever, you can still spam away without regard.

I used to get TONS of Korean spam stuff too.

There was one company the other week, actually, who sent me like 10 ads (Allied Marketing).. I clicked unsubscribe.. and got that page where it said "You'll be removed in 24 hours". Also, the page popped up with some php errors from the ads on it.

Well, a few days later, guess what? 10 more ads from Allied Marketing. I clicked unsubscribe AGAIN, and got to the "You'll be removed in 24 hours" page again. This time, though, there were no php errors... but I still kept the page open, moused over my clock to make the date pop-up, made sure the time was visible, and took a screenshot.. So if they do it again....

Back to the real topic.. It looks like the virus has slowed down.. Though I guess some people can still be moronic and click on the attachments (according to the news report, the attachment has a a .txt file icon, even though it's a ,zip).. kinda like those idiots who click on random links on IRC that installs worms on their computers.

I guess I'm just one of the lucky ones then, because my spam has all but stopped. By the way, when you click on unsubscribe, all it usually is is a way for them to properly validate your email, disguised in something you'll click on. You think you're getting rid of them when in reality you're telling them that you are real and receiving the ads.

Which is exactly why I'm getting proof that it says I'm unsubscribed... Their CEO, Yahoo!, and some other people will be hearing from me if I get anymore email from them.

Normally I just delete spam.. but since these people sent me 10 things..

I've gotten 2 infected emails in the last 2 days, one caught by my provider service before it ever got to me and one caught by my virus scanner. Both emails were "undelverable returns" I guess from some jerk using my email address to spam and/or simply infect other people. OOOO that makes me mad.

PS: JessiA I like your sig

Well Someone i know got this and it cause all his programs to freeze up when booted up. Plus the computer frezes alot. This caused him to loose alot of naruto and other animes.Things to prevent these:

Don't download dumb .exe files. Buy them Ive learned not to trust these since now i run under view hidden files due to the hidden files leaking in through downloads. This is how the person i know got this. I think.

A no brainer is to not to open dumb e-mails. And for those who didnt read the arcticle, do not receive attacttachments that are unknown.

Get a updated Virus scaner/catcher. Having a up to date version will have to time, and possibly money.

Heres the Artical Sum Up/Video Sum Up:
The Virus floods e-mails, and opens up a back-door allowing acess into your computer at any given time, or use your computer as a host to launch another attack. Hmm im not quiet sure about anyother details and how the person i know got this virus to make his programs not work anymore is beyone me. But remember be safe out there.
