New rule suggestion..

So .. here i am once <u>again</u> trying to make a solution to make it fair.

Now my suggestion is to make a new rule.. the rule is a very normal rule. Almost every forum got this rule. I cant see why this forum shouldnt have it..
the rule is :

GREAT idea, as stated before, the ways that are now, are pure crap.
There has to be some kind of rule to enforce more welloverthought posting. As admins and mods, that is your duty.

First warn a person about the rules, if he doesnt quit, boot his ass, and watch the sequal..hope not.

Instead, you let the total destruction of the most beautifull forum on this Naruto planet go, as if nothing is happening.
EVEN IF someone wants to make a joke, do it in some other topic instead of creating his own.

I just noticed this seemingly selfconvinced idea some of the admins//mods have here and I tell you, its misplaced, ur wrong, you&#39;r not here to let all topics be what they are, you are here to bring order.

This I know from my past as Mod on some Dutch forums. And as being experienced in that, the only ones ive seen doing good are rock lee and krbadass. Rock Lee for getting angry with me and krbadass for his opinions in the topics itself.

Why rock lee?, because ofcourse he has a point when he says that its stupid I start screaming and yelling in a topic, but the fact is, people notice. The discussion has to be made.
No more seeing it through. ACT
You CAN act, why dont you go do it on people that break (yes alot&#33;&#33; of them ) the rules for real?

I don&#39;t think you have to ban people who make stupid polls or topics.
Nor do I think it should be forbidden to make stupid threads. These are open forums. If the thread is related to the topic (Naruto anime, for example) one should be free to make stupid threads.
I mean those topics are the driving force of Naruto forum.

However i can tell you right now that most of our forum users don&#39;t even bother to look at the rules thread let alone read the rules within. I don&#39;t think it&#39;ll have much an affect but its worth at least posting it there. I&#39;ll update it later today.

Well i know.. thats why the rules must become stricter. I know a forum... swedish one (www.divxsweden.net) their forum first was chatoic. Then they stareted to be real strict.. and gave warnings as fast as they saw someone broke a rule. Now its a perfect forum.. nobody breaks the rules anymore. Now how would that be for you mods?.. half dream?

Well you can make it happen. As fast as sombody double post (or break any other rules).. give him an warning (if the person is first-timer then you could let him go..) but my suggestion is <u>be strict</u>

Actually, as far as I know, it&#39;s been a rule for quite a while not to post repeat topics and polls. You apparently didn&#39;t read the rules before you posted this, huh?
(6. Do not create repeat threads, check and see if you thread already exists before you create a new one.)

As for the idiots who DO create double topics and/or polls, here&#39;s my method of dealing with them (other mods are different). I check the first 3-5 pages of a forum section to see if the doubles are in there.. if there aren&#39;t any, then I let them go ahead and have their fun. If there are, I link them to the most recent topic/poll and close their thread, telling them to take it there (I actually did that in the fanart section today).

The stupid polls.. well, they may be stupid polls to you and another 50-100 users.. but for some others, it could just be a way to goof off. As long as it doesn&#39;t deal with things that may be racially/religously/etc. offensive, then it&#39;s all good.

And while we do ask, nicely, that users post COHERENTLY... it&#39;s understood that we get a lot of people from all over the world, so we are lenient. Sometimes people don&#39;t think well before they post.. and this may lead to posts that ramble on, or even double posting. However, if we edit their ramblings, or even some posts that contain excessive amounts of cursing, they get upset and complain.. so in the end, if it&#39;s not offensive and generating complaints, we let it go and just ignore it.

When we see people breaking the rules, it&#39;s generally common knowledge that we PM them informing them of their transgression, and asking them to fix it (Double posts/Excessive Sig Size/etc.), but for things that are like major spoilers, or offensive, in other words, things that people complain to us about, we go and fix it up right away, still PMing them for what they did. If they haven&#39;t learned their lesson, they get a warning, and depending on the problem, maybe a small ban.

And if someone does want to make a joke, and there are not any topics that deal with that joke that the person can see, he may just as well create his own topic. It&#39;s fair.

and, ?igma II Fighting for salvation, when you become the head admin of Gotwoot forums, I&#39;ll let you tell me how to treat topics. Of course I&#39;m also kinda ticked off at you atm because you picked out Rock Lee and Krbadass, calling them the best mods, especially when you haven&#39;t even hardly seen any of the others, as far as I know. They are good mods though. They do their work and get the job done, which is all we can ask of them. However, before you insinuate that no other mod/admin is doing his/her job.. Stick around for a while first and find out who the other admin/mods ARE and SEE what they do.

Anyway, I&#39;ve got a hungry son to attend to. Maybe my mood&#39;ll get better.

To those who double post? I send them a PM. To those who create a duplicate topic, I give them the link, close the topic, and depending on whether or not I think it might turn into an issue or not, I PM that person. Normally I don&#39;t, however, because I explain that it&#39;s a douple topic in the post when I close it. Usually it&#39;s just an innocent mistake by some newb who&#39;s only been around for a couple weeks.

however much you may stick to those rules, im absolutely sure, that the first 20 topics are violations of the rules. Not only are they double posting and using Engrish , they also have full topics in swedish or whatever AND topics are made in such rapid succession.

There was even one guy who managed to make 7 polls about peoples moves.

Okay. Did you do a search for all the first 20 posts? If you found any double posts, are they recent (like, within a couple months)? Did you report the post if it WAS a double post (that&#39;s what the report button is for)?

Some people use Engrish. We mostly look past it because not everyone has a perfect mastery of the English language, and even those who do sometimes have their off days and mess up. I explained this in an earlier post. Want to read it now since you didn&#39;t read it then?

I agree with the full posts and/or topics that are in full swedish though.. Those annoy me to no end... ¬_¬ I&#39;m going to start sending PMs to some people soon.

And the guy who made the polls about the moves? If it&#39;s the one I&#39;m remembering.. they were all individual and unique. A person is allowed to make however many topics/polls they want, so long as they aren&#39;t duplicates.

The rule Grey_wolf wants to add is somewhat different from the current one.
Not because it isnt in there, but because it should be far more strict. Upon checking and closing such a thread, a warning should go out to the creater aswell.

Since my ?igma is on parole, and my ?igma II is banned till february second (due to which I&#39;m not even eligable to use my Mozilla browser on gotwoot anymore~~ and have to use the crappy standard explorer ... )
I created ?igma III, quite logical if you think about it.

He originally got on parole for insulting Rock Lee and Krbadass.. It was Rock who then -put- him on parole. If he wanted to post again, he should&#39;ve pmed Rock or someone and asked when it would get over... Instead, he created a new nick.. and another new one after that... and well..
