Orochimaru said that Itachi was stronger than him. He said he needed Sasukes bdy cause he could get alot stronger faster with sasuke's sharigan. But if itachi is stronger why is itachi listening to the leader of his group unless the leader is stronger than itachi. And now that Kimmamaro showed up it go me thinking whos stronger itachi or kimmamro and how strong is the leader of the group Oro and itachi is in.
I am pretty damn sure that Itachi is stronger than Kimimaro, or else Naruto is gonna die. What makes you think that since Itachi is stronger than Orochimaru, that the Akatsuki leader isn't stronger than both? ...I almost feel dumber for replying to this post...
Since when did Oro say he will be stronger with Sasuke's body? I think he commented in the forest of Death that Sasuke had more POTENTIAL than Itachi did, and so he would train sasuke to match that potential before posessing him, wait a few years in his words

Itachi is stronger than Orochimaru, where Orochimaru's strengths lie. That's probably in all forms of taijutsu, ninjutsu and genjutsu. So, as far as being a skilled ninja, and fighter, Itachi is above.
But, Orochimaru might have more insight, and judgement. The man is a lot older, after all.

im going to have to say that itachi is stonger then both oro and kiminmaro, bc hes mastered the sharingan at a young age killed off his entire clan leaving only his borther sasuke alive so that sasuke will one day take his life, and even itachi was strong enough to take on 3 jounins and there was also that match with jiraiya which he also won. itachi is the stongest out of those two and even oro said him self that iachi is stronger then him forgot wut chpter it was though.
orochimaru isn't part of akatsuki anymore.
anyway, think about your question Naruto-god. kabuto compared sasuke with kimimaro and said "i wonder who is stronger." also, orochimaru said that itachi is stronger than he is and that's obviously why orochimaru can't capture and use itachi's body. so, it's not impossible, but improbable (super, highly improbable) that kimimaro is stronger than itachi.
i thought i just spell it out step by step.
Just because Itachi is not the leader of the Akatasuki, doens't mean the leader is a better fighter than him. It is quite possible that he simply works for him just like Zabuza did for that merchant.

Also, whoever started this topic has no common sense.
Orochimaru wants to change bodies because his arms are useless and he likes to stay in his prime or take a younger body and train in it, so it gets to its peak.
He isn't going to Kimimaro because he thinks he is stronger. He thinks he will have the potential to be stronger. Since Kimimaro is sick now it doesn't matter anyway.
Itachi>Orochimaru>Kimimaro
If you see it is any other way...go read the Itachi vs Kakashi and Sarutobi vs Orochimaru fights again.

Orochimaru know many seals and have experience, but itachi vs orochimaru would be a nice fight? they haven't meet in the manga yet.
we dont know how Orochimaru would fair with his new body, Itachi as far as we know was stronger then Orochimarus old body. (thats probably not including the fact that he can summon Manda or dead people)
Atasuki are all volunteers, Jiraiya explains that - so there is no leader.

Itachi didnt win agianst jiraya,he escaped from fight cause he was in need of rest or something.
well yea he didnt win but still he was still able to take on jiraiya and escape, but i think that is itachi were to be a full strenght he would have won that fight
hm I think there has to be a mastermind behind the akatsuki. Why else would they want to get their hands on the kyuubi? I mean i can't imagine that they would want to release the kyuubi out into the world again. How would they benifit them? If they want to destroy the world they could do that themselves. Also there has to be a reason why itachi killed all his clan members. Someone must have influenced him.
Oh and i don't think Oro wants to use Sasuke's body to destroy Itachi. I think he just wants to destroy Konoha. I dunno could be wrong.

uh; from what i remember itachi *ran* from jiraiya seeing that he was fighting a losing battle only to fight another day. Itachi is strong, but not invincible and the reason why he can beat oro is that he is the worst possible match-up. this isnt dragon ball z (yet hopefully) with the power level cheapness, but with actual counters and advantages, etc. Jiraiya isnt completely that type of jutsu based, and what jiraiya uses a lot are summonings, and Rasengan with which sharingan shouldnt be able to steal as its really just from what we can see chakra focused into a ball (requiring chakra control), and a helluva lot of chakra. even if you can see the move with the sharingan it often wont matter if you dont have the chakra to actually pull it off, and against a combat type (rather than a jutsu type), the sharingan actually has a bit of a problem. IE against Hyuuga Clan, or vs. Gai lets say.
itachi is strong, but he depends too much upon sharingan (even said by his partner), and from that there are quite a few disadvantages the immense chakra drain and strain put upon the eyes and body). and the sharingan as cool as it is aint everything and has its own weaknesses as well.
