Naruto and Dragonball Z

princess, tokoyo underground, and any other anime with a tournament, sword,
transformation or maybe even any sort of violence in it. now I'd go into it more,
but whats the point of it... and this post anyway?

I'd say Naruto looks more like HunterXHunter than Dragon ball Z. Sure, Naruto and DBZ have fighting and tournaments in common, but Naruto and HXH have about everything in common.

In both animes, There's a serie of multiple tests that the main characters must pass. Some require teamwork, some fighting skills, and some cunning thinking. In HXH, the tests are (forgive me if I've forgotten any) Endurance test, Cooking test, The huge tower test, the test on the island, Survival test and finally the tournament. In Naruto, there's the written test, forest of death, and then the tournament.

In both animes, you get to know more about all the characters as the anime proceeds instead of focusing just on the main character. Also, in both animes, there is'nt a tournament winner declared (although I'm not sure if the tournament in Naruto will continue or not)

In both animes, every characters have their own unique powers. Hosaki in HXH reminds me of Gaara, with his thirst for blood and his "evil" attitude. Kilua reminds me of Sasuke, both with "cold" attitudes (dark assassin & dark avenger, pretty similiar) and the main character with the black hair (geez, I cant beleive I forgot his name! memory blank...) looks a lot like Naruto, often clueless but very very cunning. And of course, they're both stubborn and will never surrender or give up.

Also, each fights are unique, and you can never predict what's going to happen and who will emerge victorious.

So in all, I believe Naruto looks more like HunterXHunter than Dragonball Z.

i&#39;v seen all of dbz and all of naruto so far and in my opinion naruto is alot better. . The fight scenes are original and the characters are being developed better but i do see a few similarities. But all in all NARUTO owns dbz

I should say damn Naruto fanboys and fangirls. I like Dragon Ball Z and I watched it for years but I think Naruto is better. But I don&#39;t think Naruto can even compare to Dragon Ball. It&#39;s a lot more original, better fight scenes, and better everything except animation. Naruto is to Goku as Sasuke is to Vegeta, there&#39;s so many similarities in the rivalries.
