Yeah me too, but I do agree with that they look pretty special, but I don't think her eyes has some special ability.
No she has no special ability. That's just her natural eye color.

she like to sharpen guys pencil. hell, what guy wouldn't let her sharpen their pencil.

does the leader lady of Shino, Kiba, and Hinata (i htink her name is Kurenai?) have some kind of bloodline limit. cause her eyes look kinda similar to the sharigans, but they dont have the commas. just wondering. sorry if this has already been asked.
As far as I know, her eyes are a pun off here name. Kurenai translates into dark red and/or crimson.
Kurenai is a genjutsu specialist but it has nothing to do with her eyes.

Too bad she has almost no talent for it.
I DOn't think shes has a special bloodline. Maybe a future manga might inform us on her past.
to khaodessy: i dont think it would make that much of a diffrence, Kurenai is a new jounin she has no experience at all. its better to be on kakashi's team since he can see through genjutsu and copy it. he should know alot of genjutsu to.

Kurenai is a Jounin and a genjutsu specialist. that sort of says it all. you cant become a jounin without any talent. if you made your opinion after she fought itachi which is the only fight she have fought, you should know that itachi can see through genjutsu and counter it.
i dont really notice her red eyes that much... they sort of blends in with her black hair and weird looking outfit.
There's nothing discussed of her past that I can rememeber. It's one of those things that has no explanation.

I agree that judging her by that fight is unfair because as we know Itachi is far more powerful than almost all the other characters in the series. Just look at how easily he defeated an elite jounin like Kakashi.
Yes, Kurenai is a genjutsu specialist or she's just really good at it. In the Official Naruto Character Book her genjutsu level/ability ranks at the highest point available or you could say a 10/10.
