Yeeeeeeeeeah. The manga issue with it is 192, and Akai's spot-on again -- it's so illegible it looks like a totally different name.

Yondaime is his title.
Yon = 4th
Daime = the title associated with Hokage
Hence why the 3rd Hogake is Sandaime and Tsunade is now Godaime.

Umm I can't read the fourths name - but doesnt the picture above this make it look like the fourth was left handed? (check thumbprints on the signature from the manga) ...
Wow thanks for pointing that out akai. Heh i don't know very many Kanji so I didn't know there was a kanji that looked like se. Thanks for clearing that up.

It would make sense if the first kanji is kawa since uzumaki means whirlpool, or swirl. Maybe the name has to do with water. Actually it might have to do with fish, because Naruto is like a fish sauce or something.
Also i wonder about Uzumaki. Since it means swirl Naruto wears a swirl on his coat but then why do the Jounins and chunnins wear it on their shirts and jacket?
Maybe to remember the 4th's sacrafice if his last name is Uzumaki.
If it isn't, then maybe just because they look cool.
Since Naruto is the only kid that were's it that gives me more reason to believe that he is special in some way. (Besides the kyuubi)
i din't notice about the spiral thing . . i don't relationed it, but it's interesting. i'm pretty sure that the fourth is naruto's father already.
Could the Posted of this Thread fix the name. I am not a good Speller but when i see this one. I keen thinking it is about the 4th's Mother
