OK, this is how it works :

A .torrent file contains data about the file, not the file itself. You must open the .torrent file in a BitTorrent client program (check out this post) to start downloading it.

Also, note that sometimes the client can't connect to the tracker - this means that the central server that the .torrent file uses is unavailable at the moment. You can try finding another such server. I'd recommend going to AnimeSuki - they often have several links for each episode of just about any popular non-licensed series.

    So... basically :
    1. Find a place that has a .torrent file of a file you want to download
    2. Download the .torrent file
    3. Run your BitTorrent client with the .torrent file you have
    4. If your client can't connect to the tracker, find another .torrent file (note that .torrent files can use the same tracker, so you might need to get a fansub from another group instead)

Oh, and by the way... BitTorrent is based on sharing - while you download, you share the parts of the file you have downloaded, and when you are done downloading, you share the entire file with people who are still downloading it. Help keep the torrents alive - share the file as long as you can!

    Good luck, and happy downloading!
