I think you need a registered name to access a lot of the channels on mircx.
Perhaps your name is either taken, or isn't registered. Register a new name and try the new name.

usually you can connect to a channel, but you're like muted... then you'll have to registrate to nickserv, but if you can't connect at alla, i don't know.. maybe in some cases that you can't connect if you aren't registrated
you dont get it, im always there i also have a registered nick, its only today, hell i was on last night till 3 am, i know all this, but the server wont let me connect right now....

Jeez man, chill. We're only trying to help o_O;
Anyway. I just tried it myself. I can't connect anymore either, so i guess the whole server has gone down. Perhaps it was a hack attack.
I know recently a server from a cool FTP i know was attacked by over 1,000 different IP addresses from Korea. So some sort of major attack is happening out there on the internet in general. Mainly servers by the looks of it, and seeing as mircx is such a big server, it's no surprise it became a target.
Of course, that's merely speculation. I do know i can't connect though, so i'm guessing it's probably just down for now. Try again tomorrow =P
