I don't know why everybody hates Sasuke either. Sure, the kid has some flaws, but then.. who doesn't?

Yeah, it was bad that he went over to Oros side, but look at it from his POV. He got his ass kicked by his brother. Everybody seems to be getting ahead of him. His brother added insult to injury. Come on, people. He was scared, confused and angry.

Now, his weakness however is : He has the power of the Uchiha Sharingan, and is obviously the most gifted, as far as raw talent is concerned. But.. he doesn't make full use of it, and instead of trying to better himself, he is constantly comparing himself to others. Then, when he sees that he isn't the shit, he runs away and starts to feel insecure about himself.

And where people got the idea of him being selfish is beyond me. He showed brave acts of heroism and friendship, when he took all those blows from Haku back in the wave arc. He also obviously cares for his team-mates, enough to not let them know about his cursed seal. And, he shows grief, when he leaves w/the sound.

Sorry to say, but Jiraiya simply can&#39;t beat Itachi. Let&#39;s put things into perspective. Itachi was growing stronger, while in the Akatsuki. What has Jiraiya been doing? Writing porno novels. I wonder who&#39;s more in shape. If Itachi, while tired after Mange-Sharinganing twice in one day, is able to rip a whole in Jiraiyas jutsu, he&#39;d make mincemeat out of him and Naruto, easily.

I truely want to belive you.... But... I think that the &quot;good&quot; side will conquer... I want to belive that Itachi is the strongest... but i don&#39;t think he is... Every Shinobi has a week spot, probably kakashi or a kage can come up with a strategy to defeat him... mange sharingan is gen-jutsu when you make eye contact with it&#39;s user you get stuck in the realm of tsukuyomi in which the sharingan user has total control and can break your mind like crushing an insect, hotsuma is right you&#39;re just trying to make up anything to make jiraiya seem stronger then Itachi which isn&#39;t true i don&#39;t know why you do it but my guess is you don&#39;t like the charachter Itachi so why down talk him when so far in the entire series the few chapters Itachi was in he left the biggest impression, he&#39;s shown the strongest technique because Rasengan is a physical attack and a mental attack can be way more damaging then a physical one because ultimately a metal attack also damages you physically

Sasuke is the second worst character(only second to Sakura) in NARUTO, but has nothing to do with him so i digress. Itachi would probably have gone on to become Hokage. I mean let&#39;s face it, this is the strongest ninja in the series so far, even Orochimaru is scared of him&#33;&#33;

Hmm I agree that Itachi is a very strong lad but Jiraiya is not to be underrated even though he is a crazy old perverted man hehe. I mean he could have been Hokage if he wanted to, and as Itachi_ said the good guys are often stronger.

I do not know who would have won between Itachi and Jiraiya but it is indeed a close call. But hmm I think that I would put my money on Jiraiya afterall..

Itachi is only in the series to die, they made that clear in the first few chapters/episodes.
He cant exactly turn a &#39;oh i&#39;ll turn good&#39; without some lame plot turn because no one will forgive him.
He himself made sure that Sasuke lived to kill him one day, i think its kind of useless to be fans of someone who only gets 15 minutes of fame.

Nobody is saying Itachi won&#39;t die.

I&#39;m just saying that Itachi is stronger than everybody else in the series, so far. Minus the Kyuubi..but, that&#39;s obvious.

And, just because you win, doesn&#39;t necassarily mean you are stronger. Especially in fighting anime. This is basic information everybody knows.

Kakashi is much weaker than Itachi, but he&#39;s got way more experience in age, and wisdom, therefore, he MIGHT win. (That&#39;s a big if, though.. Itachi is a freakin genius, after all.)

As for Jiraiya, what I&#39;ve seen of him isn&#39;t all that impressive, in terms of craftiness, when compared to Kakashi, Sasuke, and to some degree, Naruto.

put Lee in his situation and watch the same thing happen, both of them will do ANYTHING to achieve their goals.
If Lee had a cursed seal just you watch him tap into it when he knows he cant achieve what he set out to do, he definately would have used it against Gaara.

he would still have been the ANBU leader, the reason sasuke sucks and Itachi doesn&#39;t is because Sasuke puts no effort into even trying to kill Itachi, he&#39;s the same age about now as Itachi was when Itachi became an ANBU captain and sasuke is still the little cry baby who can&#39;t even become a chuunin blah his whole charachter sucks major ass

Itachi put more effort into getting where he is whilst Sasuke just crused by on his talent.
although Sasuke has more potential then Itachi (which has been said a few times in the series) it still means he has to tap into that potential and Orochimaru will probably do it best

Itachi&#39;s too strong to sit around Konoha and do nothing. I believe he was destined to leave Konoha and seek the missing piece to his puzzled mind. Itachi is indeed searching for something, possibly on a quest to find his trueself. &lt;~ Just my opinion. Itachi wouldn&#39;t be able to stay quiet and live a normal life, because he has too much powers to keep it unused. ANBU is all about assassinating, killing, etc...and he became bored of that obviously...so what else is there left to do? He has no heart of a Hokage to sit around and protect the village, so I believe it was IMPOSSIBLE for Itachi stay in Konoha.

I believe Itachi isn&#39;t THAT strong as most people describe him. Im guessing hes like the average guy of Akatsuki...meaning there&#39;s more people stronger than him in this world, and &quot;people&quot; not &quot;person&quot;. That would be weird if Itachi left another Uchiha alive, but you never know....he might not of wiped out the clan himself. It would be way too good if there was a Hyuga in Akatsuki.
