Um ... I might be wrong, and if so I will humbly take correction, but it's possible that both Gemma AND Genma are correct. The "n" in Japanese sometimes seems to be pronounced/romanized "m" instead ... like in the word "senpai/sempai" and such. But I haven't actually seen his name written out in Japanese, so I don't if the "-mma" is a long-consonant sound or "n" followed by "ma". I'm going with Genma, unless someone knows for sure that Gemma is it.

15. #15
Yeah.. no offense, legendary nin, but Genma just sounds better... lol

16. #16
it's not what sounds better. it's the fact that his name is spell GEMMA. this has nothing to do what is cool or not. it's based on fact.

in anbu/Aone's subs, it's Genma.

Gemma, by precedent, is a western name originating from Latin meaning Jewel.

Again by precedent, Genma is an eastern name with several references (Genma Saotome, Genma Onimusha, Genma Wars) originating from Japanese with various interpretable meanings, like "Dark Horse".

Hence, the more appropriate name in this situation is quite obviously Genma.

Holangi, it was episode 54...

...And Frog Hermit, you better watch it again, just to refresh your memory.
