i think i said this before, but i'll say it again anyway. the leaf team beats the sound four. naruto is the only one who hasn't fought anyone yet. sasuke comes out of his basket and they have a talk but naruto fails to convince sasuke. so naruto is like "i'll just use my kage bunshin to defeat you and bring you back" so they're about to fight, but then kimimaro jumps in and fights naruto instead so sasuke can go to orochimaru. naruto eventually wins (somehow) and the story goes on.
naruto made that promise, im pretty sure he will get him back.
also, the fact that the writers made oro prematurely switch bodies, and stateded the fact that he cant transfer in a few years.
so either sasuke meets oro, and oro trains him for a year or so, or naruto captures sasuke and return him, but sasuke quickly adventures out on his own to search for his brother.

if naruto was suppose to brings back sasuke, then sasuke taking the pill for the lvl 2 ability and the sound 4 bringing him to orochimaru would've been pointless.
i don't think orochimaru has to switch bodies immediately, i think he can wait longer til sasuke's body is "ready."
Orochimaru cant switch for another few years

Well, since the 3rd took oro's arm, oro's invasion of leaf was pointless using your logic, since he wasnt able to take over village like the 4 sounds arnt able to take back sasuke, and yet that "pointless event" still happened.
um i dont know if you missed it but Orochimaru did what he set out to do
he killed the 3rd, that was the WHOLE reason for invasion.
so he did achieve something
Sasuke cannot go back now, there is no point in going back as he will just leave again, nothing has changed with Sasuke. even IF Naruto and crew deal with the sound nin, Kimimaro will show up and leave with Sasuke

it is absolutely pointless cuz the whole point of sasuke getting the cursed seal is to get more power from orochimaru isn't it? so now since he is brought back, are they gonna have the whole "i'm leavin leaf to seek orochimaru so naruto and his gang can bring me back again" deal? i mean, if they're not gonna do that then what was the point of hyping up all of that curse seal stuff and orochimaru saying that sasuke will seek him for power? it just turns it into a cycle of retardedness.
btw...the point of invading leaf was to kill the 3rd which would crumble the leaf. a country without a president or rather a king (that's how i see it) is just a country with headless chickens...he accomplished it even though there were severe consequences.
now that oro has transferred and we have some time, i think kimimaro will own leaf's team, and sasuke will get to oro's place .
but next expedition will be leaf's team vocroty ....
I doubt Sasuke would return, after even all the effort by the leaf team (Which I believe that they(th leaf's) still would be able to kick all of the sound's azz). However, Sasuke would still runaway after that. He'll probably say a few words to Naruto like "Don't worry, Everything is in hand".
THen maybe there would be a jump in the timeline, maybe 5 years or so, when finally Oro wants to take over Sasuke's body, Sasuke would have learned enough from Oro and finally kills Oro and the rest of the Sound clan?

i suppose the end of the manga will be a great fight between sasuke and naruto
until then, they'll both train a similar lvl
