Thread: Advice on new sig and font searching.

  1. #1
Okey, i'm working on a sig (i'm quite new at this so don't sjust call it shit and stuff) and i would like for you guys/girls to give me a direct link to a font that you think looks nice or something like that... I know a lot of pages with lots of fonts, but i haven't found any i like in particular.

I would also like to hear what you think i could do more on my sig to make it look cooler in any way... One thing though, and that is that i want to keep it clean, so i won't put in a lot of things that don't belong there. At most i'll put up a second pic of Kakashi (if you have any in mind feel free to post it here)...

well here i a few different versions of it already at the beta version

Edit: I wouldn't put my money on the third since that one looks worst

This is what i have in mind also: I think it would look nice with a black border around and Kakashi's name in the net-pattern.

try sticking a light brownish-yellow border around the font and maybe a drop shadow.

    My favorite fonts are:

Georgia, Trajan Pro, Bernhard Modern, Book Antiqua, Century Gothic, Charlemagne Std, Lithos Pro, Viva Std, and Kozuka Mincho Std.

All those fonts come with Windows XP Pro, they get installed when you install various language support packs.

I don't have any examples of the fonts except for Trajan Pro which is used in the sig I amde for Hidden Pookie:

http://dafont.com is a good resource for all types of fonts.

I don't really care much for fancy fonts, or ones that are hard to read, I like neat and simple fonts, good for designing.

Also I like the 2nd one

Hey, you are the first to answer in my thread, you should get an award or something. Well thanks anyway... I'm not done with my Sig yet, but i think i agree with you saying the second looks best. But man, i need a nice font... I want a "clean font" looking very clean on my clean sig

I dunno, I kinda like the third one. Since the rest of the sig looks like "Desert"-y anyway, it just kinda fits right in. To me anyways.

I'm not sure what kind of font would look good with that though. :/ What kind of font are you looking for? A smooth/rounded font? A jagged edge kind of font? A traditional Bookman font?

This is a new version of the one i'm working on:

I know both the font and the color of it sucks, i just had to try it out since the name of the font was "Final Fantasy"

    Edit: Nr. 6 and 7 http://upl.mine.nu/uplfolders/upload4/Kakashi6.jpg

I like version #2 the most.
About #4 the font is ok imo, but the center of your sig looks pretty empty.

    </div><table border='0' align='center' width='95%' cellpadding='3' cellspacing='1'><tr><td>QUOTE ([&#092;/]etrite @ Jan 6 2004, 11:16 AM)</td></tr><tr><td id='QUOTE'> I like version #2 the most.
About #4 the font is ok imo, but the center of your sig looks pretty empty. </td></tr></table><div class='postcolor'>
That&#39;s the reason it is so clean I don&#39;t know if it would be as clean if i put up something there and if i did, i don&#39;t know what it should be.

Helvetica - cleanest and sexiest font ever to be dubbed a typeface, all should bow to it's supremacy over all things textual
It's better to burn out than to fade away
