Shino vs Kankuro (that never happened)

the same thing happens in the manga.....its interesting that even though some of the matches in the tournament dont actually take place, they do unofficially later on

i saw some manga pics online, and it had pictures of Shino fighting the Kankuro guy (puppet sand guy) in a place that looked pretty similar to the chuunin exam place.

my question is:

did they take out the shino vs kankuro fight in the anime, or was the pictures i looked at take place later on in the story?

i would appreciate it if someone replied, i dont care much about spoilers.

please, shino is my favorite character in this anime, and the shino vs kankuro match was the one i was most excited about. and it didnt happen

Let me just say this "They will fight" in the events comming up Kankuro and Shino will get to finally throw down. All i gotta say is Shino i NUTZ hes a very good fighter and has real good battle smarts. But too bad he couldnt showcase em in the main matches.
