No sound

hello, i have the following problem, would any one please help me.

i have ffdshow installed, but when i play some anime, it has no sound, but the video is fine.

what should i do?

ok. I was waiting for someone else to respond to this as i don't have any specific answers.

Question: Can you play MP3's ok?

If you can't play MP3's then you download and re-install the WMP9 codecs from the Microsoft Knowledge Database, as it includes all the standard codecs, including Fraunhofer's IIS MPEG Layer 3 Codec (Advanced), and the MPEG Layer-3 Decoder.

If you can play MP3, then i have a second question:

Did you install a Codec Pack?

When i installed a Codec pack it installed an alternative codec to the MPEG Layer-3 Decoder, which screwed up everything for me. This isn't really a very relevant question but i just thought i should ask

Anyway, if you can play MP3 ok, then please go Here and download G-Spot. Then open one of the Anime files that don't have sound inside G-Spot and Render it. Then view the details of what it says about the audio and the rendering, and tell me what it says.
