Lee is strong, but weaker than most of the other guys for some very basic reasons:

He can't use ninja/illusionary techniques

Hand-to-Hand isn't good enough to win every battle

He has to KILL HIMSELF to open the gates

Once he does open the gates, if there are still enemies he's dead

I do like him, but he can't beat everyone out there by a long shot.

yeah Lee's probably good for one on one fights where you wanna kill a ninjutsu specialist don't you think? imagine Lee vs Orochimaru.... he probably could kill the old geezer 3rd with just 1 gate... damn.... wonder what Gai is capable of... if Konoha decides to create a suicide squad and fills it up with people like Lee... amazing...

Actually thats something ive been meaning to say because you figuere rock lee is incredible, with the fith gate and everything you know wat i mean. well then his sensei gai is way above his level. The way Gai teaches him just goes to show you he has way more under his sleeves to teach Rock lee . So ok Rock lee is really good but then Gai is really good and then you think Kakashi can beat Gai.

Well i disagree... cos i think that gai&#39;s pride is such that he will not use forbidden techniques to defeat a fellow jounin... and you see kakashi using his sharingan eye to watch Lee attack Gaara... that shows that kakashi has not seen 5 gates being opened before.... then when you think that kakashi and gai are neck to neck in their abilities generally... thats when you realise that if Gai ever had to use the opening of his Celestial gates against kakashi then kakashi is really out of it...

yeh i understand what you mean by the whole pride thing. but like over the years they have fought without him using his gates and it&#39;s sort of a equal thing between them. but hey its ok i could be wrong i just wanted to show that rock lee is really strong just never got to show it because he went up against such a tough opponent u know wat i mean he couldnt get through his fuckign sand. if he fought anyone else i dont know but i think he wouldve gotten a good chance of winning except nejis byukugan im not sure about that.

All the genins would of died to Gaara in less than a few minutes (cept Lee)

Umm kakashi/gai/orochimaru/ the powerfull juunins would of probably held a better chance. I think kakashi/gai/orochimaru/3rd hokage would of killed Gaara pretty fast, and the others not as strong as kakashi/gai would fight a downhill battle.

What if Neji had to fight Gaara?

What if Shino had to fight Gaara?

Thats right, no one in that room could of taken Gaara as well as Lee did except for the 3rd hokage and maybe Kakashi/Gai/Gaara&#39;s leader

Shino/Neji/Naruto/Sasuke would of died in less than 3 minutes.

Um, what about Orochimaru, Neji, ANY of the Jounins. These GENINS are not all powerful. You just haven&#39;t seen what the Chounins, Jounins and other could do so you believe that these Genins can beat anyone. I bet all of the Jounins at this point could take out the form Gaara was in (i know thats not the true him from earlier episodes; and considering he is a demon you dont know what he can do).

Actually thats is a good point.... just because Gaara&#39;s entitiy inside him is a demon, we don&#39;t know if it is uber strong like Kyuubi. It doesn&#39;t have to be that all demons are really strong.

Seriously Im pretty confident Gaara would kill anyone other than Kakashi / Gai / Orochimau / 3rd Hokage / Maybe a few others.

But i know Gaara would of killed any of the genins (duhh) just like he killed the assassins when he was young (which were probably equal to anbu)

Im just comparing Gaara to Lee, then Lee to Sasuke, then Sasuke to Kakashi, then Kakashi to Gai, then im comparing Kakashi and Gay to Orochimaru / the other chuunins (im pretty sure Kakashi and Gai are in the top 10 of Konoha)

Even if he is ugly.. that dosnt mean he isnt good.. and it dosnt mean that he isnt worth living. He is stronger then most of the guys there. I mean he can open gates and thats powerful&#33;

refering to the gai vs kakashi thing.

i doubt either of them are going all out to the point where they&#39;re willing to use their most powerful jutsu. i mean, they&#39;re rivals, but there&#39;s a spark of mutual respect and friendship underneath it all (if not, one of them would certainly be dead). Also, keep in mind when compairing them that Kakashi is a brilliant strategist. It may be that Gai is much stronger in terms of brute force, but if he opened all his gates he&#39;d just hit a shadow clone of Kakashi, or at the last second Kakashi would replace his body with something else.

Gai missed it when Gaara replaced his body while in the Lotus.

I don&#39;t know who&#39;d win in a real fight, and no one will know unless we actaully see them fight each other to the death, but there&#39;s more to being a great ninja than pure power.

And about Gai jumping in. I agree with what a bunch of other poeple have said. Lee wanted to do it on his own, and if Gai had jumped in he would&#39;ve undermined his trust in his pupil. Kakashi says he doesn&#39;t knwo if he wouldn&#39;t have done the same thing with Naruto or Sasuke. Sometimes you need to let poeple make mistakes so they can learn.

(maybe Lee will learn to be more cautious with his attacks or to wait for the proper moment, instead of just going all out from the beginning.)

I agree with the Kakashi Vs Gai thing... just as I can&#39;t see Gai opening his gates against Kakashi I can&#39;t see Kakashi using Chidori against him either.
