Why is Sasuke late?

See the real reason why Sasuke is late is because he figured he needed to relieve some stress before the match. Kakashi was just helping him find a good person for him to start restoring his clan with. If ya know what I mean.
Or uh, maybe it is the other kind of stress reliever?

Actually kniwing Kakashi he will probably teach Sasuke a couple of Jutsu's via the Sharingan method and the rest he's gonna get Sasuke to sweat over. Also, he may be getting Sasuke to perform Chakra increasing exercises and stamina exercises.... it's not all about the number of Jutsu's you know, otherwise Kakashi would have owned every shinobi with the amount he knows.

Yeah... It seems like the only thing he might be able to do is erect some sort of Chakra field that can protect him and kill people without making him move, since I&#39;m sure he sucks at combat due to his old &amp; ricketyness. Much like (CURSE ME FOR REFERENSING (sp) THIS&#33;&#33;&#33;&#33 Dumbledore in Harry Potter.

The reason he is late, is cuz he&#39;s training with kakashi. On the moutain. remember?

I think he&#39;s gonna not show up for the tournament at all. I mean, with the cursed seal and all he seems to be pretty obsessed (sp) with getting more power, and being called a Chuunin vs. a Genin just isn&#39;t that big a deal. I get the feeling that we won&#39;t be hearing much about him until after a few more rounds of the Tournament though. I haven&#39;t seen 63 yet, and I know we&#39;re not supposed to discuss it anyway, but I think that there&#39;s gonna be a big thing about how Naruto used the Kyuubi&#39;s chakra to completely beat the living daylights out of Neji. I think that the Hyuuga Main Family Man is going to either back him or try to get him disqualified. With all that, Sasuke&#39;s probably gonna be put on the back burner.

I doubt it&#39;s because he is still training on the mountain with Kakashi. I don&#39;t think Kakashi wold be foolish enough to have Sasuke use up chakra and stress/tire himself out before a big match...

kakashi being late in all the past occasions seemed more like a trivial detail thrown in for comedy than for a major plot twist....building up the whole &quot;where is sasuke?&quot; and &quot;what did gaara do to sasuke&quot; elements would seem pretty pointless if he was just late for no reason

I think Gaara told Kakashi and Sasuke about the sand plot. He really despises the sand methinks, and would not mind screwing up their scheme.
