If sharingan wasn't always active then Kakashi wouldn't need to cover it, he could just deactivate. Also, I think that Sasuke needs to activate his because it's not complete.

Kakashi and Zabuza sensed Naruto's Chakra when he went crazy on Haku, and Kakashi could tell that Naruto was stronger than him even before that. If Orochimaru is more powerful than the Kage's, then he would be oozing power and everyone would be able to sense it, no? And even if they didn't go "oh, that must be my main man Orochi" they should have at least mentioned how strong he was.

EDIT: Plus, Kakashi was able to detect Gaara and know it was him, and I would think that Orochimaru's "murderous intent" would be MUCH larger than Gaara's.

I thought the coolest part of that episode was when Kakashi saw Gaara, and he was just like "Oh, it's you. Eh." or something...I would have expected him to freak out. But he didn't, and it makes me think that Kakashi might be a lot more powerful than we have assumed...I mean, if he was weak, he would have been scared as hell.

Well Orochimaru can supress his chakra, so byakugan nor sharigan would have noticed it...

And for the Village thing if you have a good status and alot of followers, sure try make your own hidden village, why not? Conquer a piece of land stay control of it and build your own village.

But Sound Village isn't a "Official" Hidden Village since Orochimaru hasnt gotten Kage status yet, i think all the other Kage's have to agree with it. something like that. This part is debateble since they never really explained how to achieve all this.

It may be pretty clear by now Orochimaru is feared and very powerfull. If he wasn't that strong Hokage would already commanded all the Jounins from Konoha to kill him, but he didn't, cause he knows Oro will pwn the crap out of Konoha.

Orochimaru, I think we would all agree is a tad bit more sly than Gaara, to say the least. I'm sure he's not going to be a moron and just reveal his murderous intent everywhere he goes.... he wouldn't have any stealth as a ninja and he would be useless! As for Gaara, I htink he was just acting freaky as normal.

hmmm, well, perhaps the Hokage -did- know that the sound nin was Orochimaru. I mean, it's possible that he's knows about all their plans and is setting some sort of ambush to draw everyone involved into the open.

No sense in playing his cards too early, right? he doesn't interupt when he finds out Naruto stole the forbidden scroll because someone told him to; instead, he waits until his crystal balls reveals the truth to him.

he seems like the type of person who lets things play out and waits until everyone's done their thing before he makes a move. how likely is it that he didn't know Naruto was stealing the scroll in the first place?

Kakashis sharigan isnt normal, thats why he cant turn it off.
Its not something hes had since birth so covering it is the closest he can get to turning it off.
watch the zabuza arc again if you dont believe me because its clearly stated

OK if not Hokage then Anko should have spotted him..... she just had a fight with so she should be able to recognise him more readily than the others.

Actually, I have to say that I don&#39;t think Anko or Hokage were actually there when we saw Oro, so it is possible that they wouldn&#39;t have seen him, thus making it impossible for them to recognize him.

Oh yea&#33; but orochimaru would probaly beable to work as a drag queen or a stripper and no one would realize that it&#39;s him&#33; in fact i bet the perverted hermit would probaly make a book for kakashi to read and wouldnt even notice&#33; but that would be ... odd...
