i think it wouldve looked weird to have a fox-like naruto act all calm and collected like the way that naruto was while fighting neji.
He turned animal-like in the past because he recieved the chakra through the 4th's seal, as a self-defense reflex that sorta makes him run in auto-pilot mode (aka a berserk monster)

Yup, the point is that this time Naruto went to Kyuubi to "borrow" his chakra. The first time Kyuubi came to him, or should I say that Kyuubi took the control of him, and drove him wild, as the seal nearly broke. At least that's what I think about this...
as previously said, its cause last time his seal almost broke, this time it was just him using the chakra the nine tails basically gave him

Thats hard to say, i personally thought he was quite close, also once again he didnt control it that time, I would look at it as in the way of DBZ how you could be a golden monkey when you were ss4 or could control it, well actually that was any ss, but that was a shitty example all i could think if though

well for the oro fight, naruto didn't call on kyubi. he lost control, got really angry and sorta went into that auto-pilot mode assertain failure was talking about. personally i think its like a fail safe. when kyubi senses naruto's gonna die, and he's to weakened physically to do anyhting about it, then it sorta gives him a shit load of chakra.....and since naruto's weakened kyubi can take control (partially) for just a little bit.
All he was doing was tapping the chakra, before, kyuubi was taking him over kinda.
was kyubi lent him all of his chakra??
coz i noticed when he uppercut neji he was really tired and he turned back from supper fox nnaruto to normal naruto, i mean the chakra that surround him was gone. or kyubi is a tight ass lent him enuf chakra just to defeat neji.
so that mean kyubi not that all great.
btw i read some previous post and some 1 said luckly that naruto didnt use the big frog. y r u so happy about that i mean u think that the frog stronger than kyubi or something.
No the frog is not stronger than Kyuubi.
Think about it, if the frog was stronger than Kyuubi than why didn't the 4th just ordered to kill the Kyuubi instead of sealing him up?
keep in mind that, like jiraiya said, naruto's body can only contain a certain amount of the kyubi's power.....so my guess is that he reached the extent of kyubi's chakra that he could handle at a single given point in time.

Also keep in mind that naruto was stupid and hit him head on, he basically ran into a bullet, anyone else would have probably died from that.
Well why didnt naruto get those claws and wiskers things like when he fought haku. They where beasty, if they came during the fight it would of been even nicer.
He has whiskers already.
yeah but they were much bigger during the haku fight. Plus his back started arching and stuff.
He was only borrowing kyubi's chakra this time, the last time he was more like being overtook by the demon-fox and running wild.

I think he's probably learned how to control the chakra somewhat now. Last time he was overwhelmed by it, and like the person above me said, he was overtaken by Kyubi it seems.
Heheheh, more posts to affirm...
When he fought Haku, the seal partially broke, so Kyubi was actually partially released.
This time, he simply told Kyubi to give him power, like when he summoned the Gamabunta. No part of the seal broke.
And that's why. Also, Does Naruto actually have whiskers? I thought they were just tattoos/ markings, because they never stick out, and if they ARE whiskers, then are they glued to his face?
