Btw did naruto just like use all his ninetails power against that direct attack on neiji and left him with little chakra? I thought Naruto was just toying with him with his Nine tails chakra...oh well on to the rest of the exam!
I'm an idiot, i promise i will never spoil again.

oh okay good job!
now back on topic: yes i thought he was toying with him since Naruto was able to stand so calmly at the end. n neji was half dead.

I thinks so, too. Naruto brouht out just enough power it reach Nejis level. HIs hits were as strong as Nejis Defense, but not stronger or weaker. I think he did that willingly and hold back chakra. Or perhaps he didn't want to bet Neji with pure brutality but with his Trick in the end, to look smart )

Actually I dont think Naruto was toying with him very much. I think Naruto basically gave the last of his borrowed strength for the final blow.
I believe they made a great effort to show that infact Naruto and Neji were more or less a dead even match, but in the end it was specifically Neji's beliefs that lost it for him. Even after they both collided in the massive blow, Neji could still get up but unlike Naruto he got up and went to gloat, whereas Naruto kept believing he can win.

I think so too, but i think naruto could have taken a LOT more chakra from kyuubi, and he wasted a lot on that final blow. he basically ran into a bullet.

Yeah, hitting Neji head on was a bad idea. But it did turn out to his advantage because Neji thought he won at the end. And i don't believe how little of the chakra he really used; i thought he was going to be more explosive since he usually is.
