Exactly.

It&#39;s like &#39;Cutters&#39; People that cut themselves with razors or knives or whatever. The pain helps them feel alive, releive stress, blah blah blah. It&#39;s not healthy, but in Gaara&#39;s case, it&#39;s all he knows.

Although Gaara isn&#39;t one of my favorite characters, to me, he is proof that Naruto has some of the best designed characters in the world of Anime.

I love how his history was so similar to that of Naruto, and yet since people openly hated him and tried to kill him, rather than the passive hate that naruto received, he has pretty much turned into a killing machine. He&#39;s simply the most intriguing character in the series to me.

Firstly, Gaara does not rely on his inner self at all. As we saw in his fight with Lee, its when he loses control that his other self surfaces. You can see in Kankuro, Temari and Baki&#39;s reactions to him that Gaara was in control and not his &#39;other&#39; self. If he did rely on his inner self Lee would be dead right now just like Dosu.

Secondly, he doesn&#39;t wear make-up. As was stated earlier those black things around his eyes are from lack of sleep. You&#39;ll find out more soon conserning this.


Now back on topic, the reason why Gaara is so cool is because he&#39;s a unique character. Also, he&#39;s really not at fault for his actions when you consider his background.

im pretty sure that the part where he escapes lee&#39;s secondary lotus was his own doing, as well as the armor of sand.

But its no ambition of his to become a great ninja or anything, he does what he does as a way to survive and find meaning in his life.

Gaara is a queer.. not that many people like him so i don&#39;t know why this thread was made.

I think he wasn&#39;t a very good character to make for an anime such as this one.

His whole background makes him an interesting character, as well as it was stated before about how him and Naruto grew up under similar circumstances, and yet they took completely different paths, so intersting to see, actually both of them and how they go on with their lives.
... and he&#39;s cooler than Sakura , more usefull, so, that makes him cool in my book
