Does anyone else find it wierd that they play some of these ecchi shows on kid networks in Japan. I agree with non-censorship. I just can&#39;t understand how kids can handle watching porn everyday after school.

Additional info: anime or manga is only considered hentai when you see the actual penetration. Hmmm... on aniplex it labels onegai teacher and twins both ecchi. So do all the other anime review sites. I don&#39;t think ecchi and hentai are like playboy or any other porn channel. I think there&#39;s a bigger difference than that.

Ecchi is when they show people naked but not in a explicitly sexual nature. For intance Onegai Twins the girls sit around in the bath all the time naked lots of random shoots of them nude. Ranma 1/2 also a lot or random shoots of nudity. These are both Ecchi because while there is nudity its basically softcore you just see some boobs here or there.

A lot of anime has sexual situations heck most of them at the very least have some panty shoots but unless they show the people naked its not Ecchi and unless they show them having sex and as stated earlier penitration its not Hentai. Of course most shows have a perverted episode a random episode doesn&#39;t make a whole series a ecchi its when its in nearly every episode.

the diff. between Ecchi and hentai would seem to me like the diff. between watchin playboy or some other porn channel in america, and watching a perverted tv show....also, about the majority of anime being ecchi, i disagree, i think to be considered an ecchi anime it has to be a repeated thing, i mean a lot, like Ikkitousen or Green Green TV, whereas something like Full metal panic fumoffu, naruto, ufo princess valkyrie, kiddy grade, happy lesson tv, happy lesson adv., kimi ga nozomu eien, maburaho, onegai teacher, onegai twins and even konjiki no gash bell (the kid gash shoves his tiny cock-n-ballz in the main characters face lol) are just series that have some rare perverse elements, even tho they might happen repeatedly thru the series they&#39;re not over the top or TOO often, whereas something like green green or ikkitousen would be considered fully ecchi, and anything where a girl is being raped by an alien with dick tentacles would be considered hentai , i think most anime falls into a neutral zone between innocent cartoon anime and ecchi, thus making them mostly innocent, not quite ecchi

if you consider DB as hentai or echi then you can consider Naruto as echi, but we know Naruto is aired at 7:30... so it&#39;s not echi or anything...

Echi more applieas to stuff like Love Hina and co. where you see boobies bounce and hundreds of onsen (hot water spring) scenes...

I doubt Ranma 1&#092;2 was rated as Echi.. and it had alot of scenes which out-hentaied DB in a seconed...
