How come after Naruto was on the ground straining to get back up, the &quot;referee&quot; (what do you call him?) didn&#39;t call the match over, but when Naruto uppercutted Neji *ONCE*, the match was called over? Quite unrealistic.

well the real explanation is, if he did that, then the ep would suck, and naruto wouldn&#39;t win


the &quot;good&quot; explanation is, cuz the examiner could sense the true power insdie naruto, and as an experienced ninja, he knows that appearences can be deceiving.....when naruto uppercuts neji, neji is down for the count.....the examiner can tell that nejis has no more power left, and even if he did, naruto still has more (since he was able to make a clone AND dig a tunnel after all that), so theres no point in continuing.

simple, the referee hates naruto and he wanted to se him get his ass worked over a little longer, but he didn&#39;t count on the nine tails side of naruto owning neiji

i felt that was the same way with gekko hayate as an examiner. It seemed like he knew just when the right time to end the match was....

i still say that the bird is a spying device. after all it was intently watching the match even through the intense chakra, flying stones, flying stars, flying bodies, flying dust... and then it flies off after naruto beats neji? kinda suspicious isn&#39;t it?
i guess maybe it DID symbolise something to Neji after he was K.O.ed by Naru-kun but its probably a henge kage bunshin no jutsu from either jiraiya or kakashi
